Protected by God

God promises protection, safety, and peace to those who love Him, listen to Him, and trust in Him. In today’s unstable world, the promise of protection is something we can depend on. God will protect us through the storms of life, even when they seem to surround us. The wind can blow, the rain can beat down hard, the times may look dark, but God surrounds us, and He is greater than the storm.

“But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.” (Proverbs 1:33)

We can claim this promise every day if we listen to God and place our trust in Him and show God that we love Him. Many of us face huge storms in life right now caused by the enemy himself whose main goal is to bring us down and stop us in our tracks from being a light to the world. God reminds us in the Bible, that the enemy’s plan is always to steal, kill, and destroy. The enemy will do all he can do to prevent the truth from being shared, and he is ruthless and cruel.

“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Just because we are under God’s protection, does not stop the storms from happening around us, but it does provide us with incredible strength and protection for every battle that we are currently facing.

When we are under God’s protection, the storms never have power over us because right in the middle, God reminds us: We are held secure by a Mighty God. We may feel some wind, hear the thunder, and see darkness or the rain all around us, but God is covering us with His protection and love, we do not have to face this alone. In just a short time this storm will pass, the light will shine again, and we will be strengthened for greater work ahead.

“who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:5)

God has a plan. You are held, and He is with you. God is watching over you every moment of the day. When you feel hopeless, helpless, or powerless — that is all a lie from the enemy. You are not hopeless; you are not helpless or powerless when you have God in your life.

All you have to do is, in faith, trust God is there with His protection.

“Heavenly Father, I am thankful You are faithful, and You will establish me and guard me from the evil one. I am kept by the power of You through faith for salvation. I will listen to You, and I will dwell safely, I will be secure, without fear of evil. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Do you trust God’s protection in your life?

Jesus, Lover of my Soul Lyrics

[Verse]
Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You’ve taken me from the miry clay
You’ve set my feet upon the rock
Now I know

[Chorus]
I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall, I’ll never let You go
My Saviour, my closest friend
I will worship You until the very end

[Verse]
Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You’ve taken me from the miry clay
You’ve set my feet upon the rock
Now I know

[Chorus]
I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall, I’ll never let You go
My Saviour, my closest friend
I will worship You until the very end

Daily Devotion Inspired by the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 4:9-10

In difficult times, we have all been tempted to doubt the love of God. This is because we have mistakenly equated God’s love with a trouble-free life. Even though there is a strong temptation to assume if we worship, serve, and love God, our life will be free of problems.

“Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:9-10)

Grace is one of God’s amazing gifts. It provides every one of us with everything we need to live in perfect freedom: forgiveness of our sins, healing for our hearts, the companionship of the Holy Spirit, and a relationship with God. We worship, pray, work, and enjoy life, surrounded by God’s unconditional love. God’s grace upholds us, fills us, and sustains us.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

There is no more significant demonstration of God’s grace and love than sending Jesus to take away our sins so we can spend eternity with Him. God gave us hope when there would be no hope. No matter what you are facing right now, realize God’s love is enough in the middle of the most difficult of situations. We know God’s love is seen in God’s grace in the middle of our times of trouble.

“But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,” (Titus 3:4)

The word grace in Hebrew translates to “loving-kindness” or “the Lord’s favor.” From that single word, God extends His favor toward us, demonstrating how He always wants to be near to us.

Even though we are tempted to compare God’s love with the absence of trouble, we can choose to shift our focus to God’s loving-kindness. God’s grace continuously communicates we are loved deeply by God regardless of what we experience in life.

This crisis may be the very tool God uses to draw us closer to Him. Even if you find yourself in the middle of a difficult situation right now, know that God’s grace shows His great love for you.

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

When we experience difficulty in our lives, we can seek safety in God’s grace and have hope for the future. This life is just the beginning. One day we will see Jesus face to face, and be what God created us to be, and live with Him in our true forever home.

In the same way, God has given us the gifts. He asks us to use them to minister to others. We can minister to others by complimenting a friend or helping someone in need. There are a lot of things we can do to use our gifts to help others.

Ask God for help today and ask Him to show you creative ways to use your gift of God’s grace to minister to the people God has placed in your path. You could be surprised at the things He shows you. Do not be afraid to do what God tells you to do.

Choose to minister to others and see what God does through you!

Will you let God’s grace shine through you today?

Heavenly Father, I will be hospitable to others without grumbling. As I have received a gift, I will minister as a good steward of the manifold grace of You. Please show creative ways to use Your grace to minister to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I take no credit for the Lords work, nor does the person who sent this to me.

All glory to God.
