Let’s Look at what the Bible says about Jesus
Jesus is the Son of God
(Mat 16:13 And coming into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, Jesus asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say Me to be, the Son of Man?
Mat 16:14 And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
Mat 16:15 He said to them, But who do you say I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, You are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
(Mat 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive in her womb, and will bear a son. And they will call His name Emmanuel,” which being interpreted is, God with us. and reigning King of kings.
Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit upon his throne,
Act 2:31 seeing this beforehand, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor would His flesh see corruption,
Act 2:32 God raised up this Jesus, of which we all are witnesses.
Act 2:33 Therefore being exalted to the right of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured out this which you now see and hear.
Act 2:34 For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, “The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand
Act 2:35 until I place Your enemies as a footstool to Your feet.”
Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God made this same Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.
1Ti 6:15 For He in His own time will reveal who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
This same Jesus was sinless and shall be the judge of all
(Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.
Joh 5:22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son,).
The question is, can such a being actually and really care for man?
Jesus displayed care when He divested Himself of heaven’s glory.
Jesus’ pre-incarnation is beyond doubt taught
(1Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life,
1Jn 1:2 (for the Life was revealed, and we have seen it and bear witness, and show to you the everlasting Life, who was with the Father and was revealed to us),
1Jn 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
1Jn 1:4 And we write these things to you so that your joy may be full.
Jesus, the Word, was with God and was God (divine) before He came to earth. Notice why Jesus came to earth: “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich: (2 Cor. 8: 9).
Jesus cared for us so much that He gave His own life
(Rom 5:5 And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.
Rom 5:6 For we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For one will with difficulty die for a righteous one, yet perhaps one would even dare to die for a good one.
Rom 5:8 But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.)
Jesus expressed His care in His teaching and doctrinal purity
Indeed, Jesus was a teacher
Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Out of care for those whom He taught, Jesus told people what they needed to hear, not just what they wanted to hear
cf. Mat 19:16 And behold, one came and said to Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? There is none good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.
Mat 19:18 He said to Him, Which? Jesus said, You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness,
Mat 19:19 honor your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Mat 19:20 The young man said to Him, I have kept all these things from my youth up; what do I lack yet?
Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.
Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions). Some heeded Him and some hated Him (Mat 8:1;1 When He had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
(Mat 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that He spoke of them.
Mat 21:46 But seeking to lay hands on Him, they feared the crowd, because they held Him for a prophet. ).
Above all, Jesus presented only the pure truth
(Mat 19:3 And the Pharisees came to Him, tempting Him and saying to Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
Mat 19:4 And He answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning “made them male and female”,
Mat 19:5 and said, For this cause a man shall leave father and mother and shall cling to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh?
Mat 19:6 Therefore they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.
Mat 19:7 They said to Him, Why did Moses then command to give a bill of divorce and to put her away?
Mat 19:8 He said to them, Because of your hard-heartedness Moses allowed you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.
Mat 19:9 And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is put away commits adultery.
Mat 19:10 His disciples said to Him, If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not good to marry.
, cf. 1Jn 2:8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true Light now shines.
1Jn 2:9 He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in darkness until now.
1Jn 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no offense in him.
1Jn 2:11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because darkness has blinded his eyes.
Jesus shows His care in His role as the High Priest
Jesus is a “merciful” and “faithful high priest”
(Heb 2:17 Therefore in all things it behoved him to be made like His brothers, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of His people).
Jesus is also said to be a “great high priest” (Heb 4:14 Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Moreover, Jesus is described as being able to “be touched with the feeling of our infirmities” (profession.
Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin).
Beloved, Jesus cares for you and me beyond this writer’s ability to express and beyond our ability to comprehend!
Do you care for Him?
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (Jn. 14: 15).
Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
Why not learn of Jesus and experience Jesus’ care?
(Jud 1:21) keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life.(2Ti 3:16) All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
