The Book of Psalms

Chapter 1

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.
Psa 1:2 But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night.
Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed.
Psa 1:4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Psa 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Psa 1:6 For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Chapter 2

Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them.
Psa 2:5 Then He shall speak to them in His anger, and trouble them in His wrath.
Psa 2:6 Yea, I have set My king on My holy hill, on Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.
Psa 2:8 Ask of Me, and I shall give the nations for Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession.
Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psa 2:10 And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

Chapter 3

Psa 3:1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O Lord, how my foes have increased! Many are the ones who rise up against me.
Psa 3:2 Many are saying of my soul, There is no deliverance for him in God. Selah.
Psa 3:3 But You, O Jehovah, are a shield for me; my glory, the One who lifts up my head.
Psa 3:4 I cried to Jehovah with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill. Selah.
Psa 3:5 I laid down and slept. I awoke, for Jehovah kept me.
Psa 3:6 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set against me all around.
Psa 3:7 Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God; for You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone. You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Psa 3:8 Salvation belongs to Jehovah. Your blessing is on Your people. Selah.

Chapter 4

Psa 4:1 To the Chief Musician, for stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness; You gave room to me in trouble; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
Psa 4:2 O sons of men, how long will you turn My glory into shame? Will you love vanity and seek after a lie? Selah.
Psa 4:3 But know that Jehovah has set apart the godly for Himself. Jehovah hears when I call to Him.
Psa 4:4 Tremble, and sin not; speak within your own heart on your bed and be still. Selah.
Psa 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in Jehovah.
Psa 4:6 There are many who say, Who will show us any good? Jehovah, lift up the light of Your face on us.
Psa 4:7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their grain and their wine increased.
Psa 4:8 I will lie down, both in peace and in sleep. For You alone, Jehovah, make me dwell in safety.

Chapter 5

Psa 5:1 To the Chief Musician, for flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O Jehovah; consider my meditation.
Psa 5:2 Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God; for to You I will pray.
Psa 5:3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Jehovah; in the morning I will direct my prayer to You, and I will look up.
Psa 5:4 For You are not a God that enjoys wickedness; nor shall evil dwell with You.
Psa 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all doers of iniquity.
Psa 5:6 You shall destroy those who speak lies; Jehovah will despise the bloody and deceitful man.
Psa 5:7 But I, in the abundance of Your grace, I will come into Your house; I will worship in Your fear toward Your holy temple.
Psa 5:8 Lead me, O Jehovah, in Your righteousness, because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face.
Psa 5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is wickedness; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.
Psa 5:10 Hold them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.
Psa 5:11 But let all who put their trust in You rejoice; let them always shout for joy, because You defend them. And let those who love Your name be joyful in You.
Psa 5:12 For You; O Jehovah, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Chapter 6

Psa 6:1 To the Chief Musician, for eight-stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, rebuke me not in Your anger, nor chasten me in the heat of Your fury.
Psa 6:2 Have mercy on me, O Jehovah, for I am weak; O Jehovah, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
Psa 6:3 My soul also is exceedingly troubled; but You, O Jehovah, how long?
Psa 6:4 Return, O Jehovah, return; deliver my soul; save me for Your mercy’s sake.
Psa 6:5 For in death there is no memory of You; in the grave who shall give You thanks?
Psa 6:6 I am weary in my groaning; all the night I make my bed swim; I melt my couch with my tears.
Psa 6:7 My eye is dim because of grief; it wastes away because of all my enemies.
Psa 6:8 Depart from me, all workers of iniquity; for Jehovah has heard the voice of my weeping.
Psa 6:9 Jehovah has heard my cry; Jehovah will receive my prayer.
Psa 6:10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and exceedingly troubled; let them turn back and be ashamed in a moment.

Chapter 7

Psa 7:1 A song of David, which he sang to Jehovah, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. O Jehovah my God, in You I put my trust; save me from all who pursue me, and deliver me,
Psa 7:2 lest he tear my soul like a lion, tearing it in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.
Psa 7:3 O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; if there is iniquity in my hands;
Psa 7:4 if I have rewarded evil to my friend, or if I have delivered one oppressing me without cause;
Psa 7:5 let the enemy persecute my soul and take it; yea, let him trample down my life on the earth and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.
Psa 7:6 Arise, O Jehovah, in Your anger; lift up Yourself because of the rage of my enemies, and awake for me to the judgment which You have commanded.
Psa 7:7 And the congregation of the peoples shall surround You; and over it You will return on high.
Psa 7:8 Jehovah shall judge the people; judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity on me.
Psa 7:9 O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.
Psa 7:10 My defense is from God, who saves the upright in heart.
Psa 7:11 God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Psa 7:12 If he does not turn, He will whet His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
Psa 7:13 Yea, He has fitted him for instruments of death; He has made His arrows hotly pursue.
Psa 7:14 Behold, he labors in pain with iniquity, and he has conceived mischief, and has brought forth falsehood.
Psa 7:15 He dug a pit and bored it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made.
Psa 7:16 His mischief shall return on his own head, and his violence shall come on his own crown.
Psa 7:17 I will praise Jehovah according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Jehovah most high.

Chapter 8

Psa 8:1 To the Chief Musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens!
Psa 8:2 Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained strength, because of ones vexing You, to cause the enemy and the avenger to cease.
Psa 8:3 When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have established;
Psa 8:4 what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?
Psa 8:5 For You have made him lack a little from God, and have crowned him with glory and honor.
Psa 8:6 You made him rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet:
Psa 8:7 all sheep and oxen, yes, and the beasts of the field;
Psa 8:8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, and all that pass through the paths of the seas.
Psa 8:9 O Jehovah, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Chapter 9

Psa 9:1 To the Chief Musician. To die for the Son. A Psalm of David. I will praise You, O Jehovah, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
Psa 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Psa 9:3 When my enemies have turned back, they shall fall and perish before You.
Psa 9:4 For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat in the throne judging right.
Psa 9:5 You have rebuked the heathen, You have destroyed the wicked, You have put out their name forever and ever.
Psa 9:6 The desolations of the enemy have come to an end forever, and You have destroyed the cities; their memorial has perished with them.
Psa 9:7 But Jehovah shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment.
Psa 9:8 And He shall judge the world in righteousness; He shall judge the peoples in uprightness.
Psa 9:9 Jehovah also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Psa 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Psa 9:11 Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwells in Zion; declare among the nations His deeds.
Psa 9:12 For He remembers them, the seekers of bloodshed; He forgets not the cry of the humble.
Psa 9:13 Have mercy on me, O Jehovah; see my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
Psa 9:14 so that I may declare all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion; I will rejoice in Your salvation.
Psa 9:15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made; their foot is caught in the net which they hid.
Psa 9:16 Jehovah is known. He has executed judgment; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. A meditation. Selah.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, all the nations that forget God.
Psa 9:18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
Psa 9:19 Arise, O Jehovah; let not man be strong. Let the nations be judged in Your sight.
Psa 9:20 Put them in fear, O Jehovah, let the nations know they are but men. Selah.

Chapter 10

Psa 10:1 Why do You stand afar off, O Jehovah? Will You hide in times of trouble?
Psa 10:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be taken in the plans that they have imagined.
Psa 10:3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire, and blesses the covetous whom Jehovah despises.
Psa 10:4 Through the pride of his face the wicked will not seek Him; There is no God in all his schemes.
Psa 10:5 His ways are always perverted; Your judgments are high, out of his sight. As for all his enemies, he puffs at them.
Psa 10:6 He has said in his heart, I shall not be moved; from generation to generation, never in evil!
Psa 10:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud; under his tongue are mischief and vanity.
Psa 10:8 He sits in the hiding-places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the poor.
Psa 10:9 He lies in wait secretly, like a lion in his den. He lies in wait to catch the poor; he catches the poor when he draws him into his net.
Psa 10:10 He crouches and bows, and the poor have fallen by his might.
Psa 10:11 He has said in his heart, God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will not see forever!
Psa 10:12 Arise, O Jehovah; O God, lift up Your hand; forget not the humble.
Psa 10:13 Why do the wicked condemn God? He has said in his heart, You will not judge.
Psa 10:14 You have seen it; for You behold mischief and vexation, to repay it with Your hand. The poor commits himself to You; You are the Helper of the fatherless.
Psa 10:15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil one; seek out his wickedness, until You find none.
Psa 10:16 Jehovah is King forever and ever; the nations have perished out of His land.
Psa 10:17 Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart, You will cause Your ear to hear,
Psa 10:18 to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, so that the man of the earth may no more terrify.

Chapter 11

Psa 11:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I put my trust in Jehovah; how can you say to me, Flee like a bird to the mountains;
Psa 11:2 for lo, the wicked bend their bow; they make ready their arrow on the string, so that they may secretly shoot at the upright in heart.
Psa 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Psa 11:4 Jehovah is in His holy temple; Jehovah’s throne is in Heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids examine the children of men.
Psa 11:5 Jehovah tries the righteous; but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence,
Psa 11:6 On the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone; and a horrible tempest shall be the portion of their cup.
Psa 11:7 For the righteous Jehovah loves righteousness; His face looks on the upright.

Chapter 12

Psa 12:1 To the Chief Musician, on eight. A Psalm of David. Help, Jehovah, for the godly man ceases; for the faithful fail from among the sons of men.
Psa 12:2 They speak vanity each one with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.
Psa 12:3 Jehovah shall cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaks proud things,
Psa 12:4 that has said, With our tongue we shall do much; our lips are our own; who is lord over us?
Psa 12:5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah. I will set in safety, he pants for it.
Psa 12:6 The Words of Jehovah are pure Words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Psa 12:7 You shall keep them, O Jehovah, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
Psa 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when vileness is praised by the sons of men.

Chapter 13

Psa 13:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long will You forget me, O Jehovah? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
Psa 13:2 How long shall I take counsel in my heart having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be lifted up over me?
Psa 13:3 Look! Answer me, O Jehovah my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
Psa 13:4 lest my enemy say, I have overcome him, and my foes rejoice when I am shaken.
Psa 13:5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
Psa 13:6 I will sing to Jehovah, because He has rewarded me.

Chapter 14

Psa 14:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God! They acted corruptly; they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.
Psa 14:2 Jehovah looked down from Heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood and sought God.
Psa 14:3 All have gone aside, together they are filthy; there is none who does good, no, not one.
Psa 14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity not known, eating up My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Jehovah.
Psa 14:5 There they were in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Psa 14:6 You have shamed the counsel of the poor, because Jehovah is his refuge.
Psa 14:7 Who will bring the salvation of Israel out of Zion? When Jehovah brings back the captivity of His people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Chapter 15

Psa 15:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, who shall dwell in Your tabernacle? Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?
Psa 15:2 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart;
Psa 15:3 he does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor;
Psa 15:4 in whose eyes the reprobate is despised, but he honors those who fear Jehovah; he has sworn to his hurt, and does not change it;
Psa 15:5 he has not put out his money at interest, nor has he taken a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall not be moved forever.

Chapter 16

Psa 16:1 A Secret Treasure of David. Watch over me, O God; for in You do I put my trust.
Psa 16:2 Oh my soul, you have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord; I have no goodness apart from You.
Psa 16:3 As to the saints in the earth, they are the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
Psa 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who run after another god. I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood; and I will not take their names on my lips.
Psa 16:5 Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance, and of my cup; You shall uphold my lot.
Psa 16:6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance.
Psa 16:7 I will bless Jehovah, who has given me wisdom; my heart also instructs me in the nights.
Psa 16:8 I have set Jehovah always before Me; because He is at My right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psa 16:9 Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoices; My flesh also shall rest in hope;
Psa 16:10 For You will not leave My soul in hell; You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
Psa 16:11 You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Chapter 17

Psa 17:1 A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O Jehovah; listen to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, for it is not in lips of deceit.
Psa 17:2 Let my judgment go out from Your presence; let Your eyes behold uprightly.
Psa 17:3 You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and You will find nothing; my thoughts do not pass beyond my mouth.
Psa 17:4 Concerning the works of men, by the Words of Your lips, I am kept from the paths of the destroyer.
Psa 17:5 My steps have been held in Your paths, so that my footsteps have not slipped.
Psa 17:6 I have called on You, for You will hear me, O God; bow down Your ear to me; hear my speech.
Psa 17:7 Set out Your wonderful loving-kindness, O Savior of those seeking refuge in You, by Your right hand, from those who rise up against me.
Psa 17:8 Keep me as the pupil, the daughter of the eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
Psa 17:9 from the face of the wicked who strip me. Those against my soul, My foes, encircle me.
Psa 17:10 They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly,
Psa 17:11 they have now hemmed in our steps, they have set their eyes to bow me to the earth,
Psa 17:12 their likeness is like a lion that longs to tear, and like a young lion lurking in secret places.
Psa 17:13 Arise, O Jehovah, disappoint him, bow him down; deliver my soul from the wicked by Your sword,
Psa 17:14 from men by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your treasure. They are satisfied with sons, and will leave their riches to their babes.
Psa 17:15 As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with Your image.

Chapter 18

Psa 18:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, the servant of Jehovah, who spoke to Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul; and he said: I love You, O Jehovah, my strength.
Psa 18:2 Jehovah is my strength, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock; I will trust in Him; He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
Psa 18:3 I will call on Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.
Psa 18:4 The sorrows of death hemmed me in, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
Psa 18:5 The sorrows of hell surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.
Psa 18:6 In my distress I called on Jehovah, and I cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, into His ears.
Psa 18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; and the foundations of the hills moved and were shaken, because He was angry.
Psa 18:8 A smoke went up out of His nostrils, and fire devoured out of His mouth; coals were kindled by it.
Psa 18:9 And He bowed the heavens and came down, and darkness was under His feet.
Psa 18:10 And He rode on a cherub, and flew; yea, He soared on the wings of the wind.
Psa 18:11 He made darkness His secret place, His pavilion around Him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
Psa 18:12 At the brightness before Him, His dark clouds passed through, hailstones and coals of fire passed.
Psa 18:13 Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave forth His voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
Psa 18:14 Yea, He sent out His arrows and scattered them; and He shot out lightnings and crushed them.
Psa 18:15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered, at Your rebuke, O Jehovah, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
Psa 18:16 He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.
Psa 18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me.
Psa 18:18 They went before me in the day of my calamity; but Jehovah was my stay.
Psa 18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
Psa 18:20 Jehovah rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has repaid me.
Psa 18:21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
Psa 18:22 For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His Precepts from me.
Psa 18:23 I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.
Psa 18:24 And Jehovah has returned to me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.
Psa 18:25 With the merciful, You will show Yourself merciful; with an upright man You will show Yourself upright;
Psa 18:26 with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You will show Yourself perverse.
Psa 18:27 For You will save the afflicted people, but will bring down high looks.
Psa 18:28 For You will light my candle; Jehovah my God will make my darkness light.
Psa 18:29 For by You I have run through a troop; and by my God I have leaped over a wall.
Psa 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield to all those who trust in Him.
Psa 18:31 For who is God besides Jehovah? Or, who is a Rock except our God?
Psa 18:32 It is God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.
Psa 18:33 He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
Psa 18:34 He teaches my hands to war, so that a bow of bronze is bent by my arms.
Psa 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; and Your right hand has held me up, and Your gentleness has made me great.
Psa 18:36 You have given a wide place for my steps under me, so that my feet have not slipped.
Psa 18:37 I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; nor did I turn again until they were destroyed.
Psa 18:38 I have shattered them, and they cannot rise again; they have fallen under my feet.
Psa 18:39 For You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have humbled under me those who rose up against me.
Psa 18:40 You have also given me the neck of my enemies; so that I might destroy those who hate me.
Psa 18:41 They cried, but there was none to save; even to Jehovah, but He did not answer them.
Psa 18:42 Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like the dirt in the streets.
Psa 18:43 You have delivered Me from the strivings of the people; You have made Me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known shall serve Me.
Psa 18:44 As soon as they hear of Me, they shall obey Me; the sons of strangers shall bow down to Me.
Psa 18:45 The sons of strangers shall fade away and be afraid out of their strongholds.
Psa 18:46 Jehovah lives; and blessed be my rock, and let the God of my salvation be praised.
Psa 18:47 It is God who avenges me, and humbles the people under me.
Psa 18:48 He delivers me from my enemies; yea, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.
Psa 18:49 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Jehovah, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name,
Psa 18:50 magnifying the salvations to His king, and working mercy to His anointed, to David, and to his seed forevermore.

Chapter 19

Psa 19:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims His handiwork.
Psa 19:2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor are there words; their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4 Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psa 19:5 and he comes forth as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a strong man to run a race,
Psa 19:6 going forth from the end of the heavens, and its course is to their ends. And there is nothing hid from its heat.
Psa 19:7 The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise.
Psa 19:8 The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether,
Psa 19:10 more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? Oh make me pure from secret faults;
Psa 19:13 and keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be upright, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.
Psa 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Chapter 20

Psa 20:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. May Jehovah hear you in the day of trouble, the name of the God of Jacob set you on high,
Psa 20:2 sending you help from the sanctuary, and upholding you out of Zion.
Psa 20:3 He will remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah.
Psa 20:4 May He grant you according to your own heart, and fulfill all your plans.
Psa 20:5 We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up banners; may Jehovah fulfill all your prayers.
Psa 20:6 Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed; He will hear him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand.
Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Jehovah our God.
Psa 20:8 They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright.
Psa 20:9 Save, O Jehovah; let the King hear us when we call.

Chapter 21

Psa 21:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall rejoice in Your strength, O Jehovah; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
Psa 21:2 You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the prayer of his lips. Selah.
Psa 21:3 For You go before him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.
Psa 21:4 He asked life from You; You give to him length of days forever and ever.
Psa 21:5 His glory is great in Your salvation; honor and majesty You have laid on him.
Psa 21:6 For You have made him most blessed forever; You have rejoiced him in the gladness in Your holy face.
Psa 21:7 For the king trusts in Jehovah, and in the mercy of the Most High; he shall not be moved.
Psa 21:8 Your hand shall find out all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find out those who hate You.
Psa 21:9 You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your presence; Jehovah will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
Psa 21:10 Their fruit shall You destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the sons of men.
Psa 21:11 For they intended evil against You; they imagined a wicked thing; they are not able to prevail.
Psa 21:12 For You shall make them turn the back; You shall make ready Your arrows on Your strings against their faces.
Psa 21:13 Be exalted, O Jehovah, in Your strength; we will sing, and praise Your power.

Chapter 22

Psa 22:1 To the Chief Musician, on the deer of the dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my deliverance, and from the words of my groaning?
Psa 22:2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent.
Psa 22:3 But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Psa 22:4 Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them.
Psa 22:5 They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed.
Psa 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.
Psa 22:7 All who see Me mock me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying,
Psa 22:8 He trusted on Jehovah; let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him!
Psa 22:9 For You are He who took Me out of the womb, causing Me to trust while on My mother’s breasts.
Psa 22:10 I was cast on You from the womb; You are My God from My mother’s belly.
Psa 22:11 Be not far from Me; for trouble is near, for there is none to help.
Psa 22:12 Many bulls have circled around Me; strong bulls Of Bashan have surrounded Me.
Psa 22:13 They opened wide their mouths on Me, like a ripping and a roaring lion.
Psa 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels.
Psa 22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws;
Psa 22:16 and You have brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have circled around Me; the band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercers of My hands and My feet.
Psa 22:17 I can count all My bones; they look and stare at Me.
Psa 22:18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing.
Psa 22:19 But You, O Jehovah, be not far from Me; O My strength, hurry to help Me!
Psa 22:20 Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the dog’s hand.
Psa 22:21 Save Me from the lion’s mouth; from the wild oxen’s horns. You have answered Me.
Psa 22:22 I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You.
Psa 22:23 You who fear Jehovah, praise Him; all of you, the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and fear Him all the seed of Israel.
Psa 22:24 For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard.
Psa 22:25 My praise shall be of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before the ones who fear Him.
Psa 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever.
Psa 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.
Psa 22:28 For the kingdom is Jehovah’s; and He is the ruler among the nations.
Psa 22:29 All the fat ones on the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him; and none can keep alive his own soul.
Psa 22:30 A seed shall serve Him; it shall be spoken of Jehovah to the coming generation.
Psa 22:31 They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born, that He has done this.

Chapter 23

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3 He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psa 23:5 You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah forever.

Chapter 24

Psa 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is Jehovah’s, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who dwell in it.
Psa 24:2 For He has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.
Psa 24:3 Who shall go up into the hill of Jehovah? Or who shall stand in His holy place?
Psa 24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, and has not sworn deceitfully.
Psa 24:5 He shall receive the blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psa 24:6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Psa 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates; and be lifted up, O everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:8 Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.
Psa 24:9 Lift up your heads, O gates; even lift up, O everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:10 Who is this King of glory? Jehovah of Hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

Chapter 25

Psa 25:1 A Psalm of David. To You, O Jehovah, I lift up my soul.
Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3 Yea, let none who wait on You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who sin without cause.
Psa 25:4 Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths.
Psa 25:5 Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.
Psa 25:6 Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; for they are from eternity.
Psa 25:7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, or my rebellings; according to Your mercy remember me for Your goodness’ sake, O Jehovah.
Psa 25:8 Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore He will teach sinners in the way.
Psa 25:9 The meek He will guide in judgment; and the meek He will teach His way.
Psa 25:10 All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Psa 25:11 For Your name’s sake, O Jehovah, pardon my iniquity; for it is great.
Psa 25:12 What man is he who fears Jehovah? He shall teach him in the way that he shall choose.
Psa 25:13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
Psa 25:14 The secret of Jehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.
Psa 25:15 My eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.
Psa 25:16 Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am wasted and afflicted.
Psa 25:17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses.
Psa 25:18 Look on my affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins.
Psa 25:19 Look on my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Psa 25:20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.
Psa 25:21 Let purity and uprightness keep me; for I wait on You.
Psa 25:22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Chapter 26

Psa 26:1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Jehovah; for I have walked in my truthfulness. I have trusted also in Jehovah; I shall not slide.
Psa 26:2 Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; purify my heart and my mind.
Psa 26:3 For Your loving-kindness is before my eyes; and I have walked in Your truth.
Psa 26:4 I have not sat with lying men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
Psa 26:5 I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and will not sit with the wicked.
Psa 26:6 I will wash my hands in innocency; so I will go around Your altar, O Jehovah,
Psa 26:7 so that I may cry out with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wonderful works.
Psa 26:8 Jehovah, I have loved the dwelling place of Your house, and the place where Your honor dwells.
Psa 26:9 Do not take away my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men
Psa 26:10 in whose hands is a plot, and their right hand is full of a bribe.
Psa 26:11 But I will walk in my truthfulness; redeem me and be merciful to me.
Psa 26:12 My foot stands in an even place; in the congregations I will bless Jehovah.

Chapter 27

Psa 27:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psa 27:2 When the wicked, my enemies and my foes, came on me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Psa 27:3 Though an army should camp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this I am trusting.
Psa 27:4 One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to pray in His temple.
Psa 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His shelter, in the secrecy of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me up on a rock.
Psa 27:6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies, my encirclers; and I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle. I will sing; yea, I will sing praises to Jehovah.
Psa 27:7 Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice; and have mercy on me, and answer me.
Psa 27:8 My heart says to You, Seek my face; Your face, O Jehovah, I will seek;
Psa 27:9 Hide not Your face from me. Turn not Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Psa 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Jehovah will take me up.
Psa 27:11 Teach me Your way, O Jehovah, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
Psa 27:12 Deliver me not over to the will of my enemies; for false witnesses have risen up against me, and he that breathes out cruelty.
Psa 27:13 I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living.
Psa 27:14 Hope in Jehovah; be of good courage, and He shall make your heart strong; yea, hope in Jehovah.

Chapter 28

Psa 28:1 A Psalm of David. I will cry to You, O Jehovah; my Rock, do not be deaf to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those who go down into the pit.
Psa 28:2 Hear the voice of my prayers, when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your Holy Place.
Psa 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, yet evil is in their hearts.
Psa 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their practices, give them according to the work of their hands; give them what they deserve.
Psa 28:5 Because they do not pay attention to the works of Jehovah and to the work of His hands, He shall destroy them and never build them up.
Psa 28:6 Blessed is Jehovah, because He has heard the voice of my prayers.
Psa 28:7 Jehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will praise Him.
Psa 28:8 Jehovah is a strength to them, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.
Psa 28:9 Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; feed them also, and lift them up forever.

Chapter 29

Psa 29:1 A Psalm of David. Give to Jehovah, O you mighty, give to Jehovah glory and strength.
Psa 29:2 Give to Jehovah the glory due to His name; worship Jehovah in the beauty of holiness.
Psa 29:3 The voice of Jehovah is on the waters; the God of glory thunders; Jehovah is above many waters.
Psa 29:4 The voice of Jehovah is in power, the voice of Jehovah is in majesty.
Psa 29:5 The voice of Jehovah breaks the cedars; yea, Jehovah breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
Psa 29:6 He also makes them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
Psa 29:7 The voice of Jehovah goes through flames of fire.
Psa 29:8 The voice of Jehovah shakes the wilderness; Jehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
Psa 29:9 The voice of Jehovah causes the does to calve, and uncovers the forests; and in His temple all of it is saying, Glory!
Psa 29:10 Jehovah sits on the flood; yea, Jehovah sits as King forever.
Psa 29:11 Jehovah will give strength to His people; Jehovah will bless His people with peace.

Chapter 30

Psa 30:1 A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the House of David. I will praise You, O Jehovah; for You have lifted me up, and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me.
Psa 30:2 O Jehovah my God, I cried to You, and You have healed me.
Psa 30:3 O Jehovah, You have brought up my soul from the grave; You have kept me alive, so that I should not go down to the Pit.
Psa 30:4 Sing praises to Jehovah, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the memory of His holiness.
Psa 30:5 For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Psa 30:6 And in my blessedness I said, I shall never be moved.
Psa 30:7 O Jehovah, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.
Psa 30:8 I cried to You, O Jehovah; and I prayed to Jehovah.
Psa 30:9 What profit is in my blood, in going down to the pit? Shall the dust praise You? Shall it tell of Your truth?
Psa 30:10 Hear, O Jehovah, and have mercy on me; Jehovah, be my helper.
Psa 30:11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have torn off my sackcloth, and have clothed me with gladness,
Psa 30:12 so that my glory may sing praise to You, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Chapter 31

Psa 31:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In You, O Jehovah, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness.
Psa 31:2 Bow down Your ear to me; deliver me quickly; be my strong rock, a fortress to save me.
Psa 31:3 For You are my rock and my fortress; and for Your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
Psa 31:4 Bring me out of the net that they hid for me, for You are my strength.
Psa 31:5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Jehovah, the God of truth.
Psa 31:6 I have hated those who take heed to lying vanities; but I trust in Jehovah.
Psa 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy; for You have looked on my affliction; You have known my soul in troubles;
Psa 31:8 and have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a broad place.
Psa 31:9 Have mercy on me, O Jehovah, for I am in trouble; my eye has become old with grief, my soul and my belly.
Psa 31:10 For my life is ending with grief, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones have wasted away.
Psa 31:11 I was a reproach among all my foes, but especially among my neighbors, and a fear to my friends; those who saw me outside fled from me.
Psa 31:12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.
Psa 31:13 For I have heard the slander of many; fear is on every side; because of their plottings together against me, they planned to take away my life.
Psa 31:14 But I trusted in You, O Jehovah; I said, You are my God.
Psa 31:15 My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
Psa 31:16 Make Your face shine on Your servant; save me in Your mercy.
Psa 31:17 Let me not be ashamed, O Jehovah; for I have called on You; Let the wicked be ashamed; let them be silent in the grave.
Psa 31:18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; the lips which speak proudly against the righteous, with pride and scorn.
Psa 31:19 How great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You; You have worked for those who trust in You before the sons of men!
Psa 31:20 You shall hide them in the secrecy of Your presence from the pride of man; You shall hide them in a shelter away from the strife of tongues.
Psa 31:21 Blessed is Jehovah; for He has worked His mercy wondrously in a besieged city.
Psa 31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before Your eyes; surely You heard the voice of my cries, when I cried to You.
Psa 31:23 O love Jehovah, all you saints of His; Jehovah preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer.
Psa 31:24 Be strong, and He will make your heart stronger, all you who hope in Jehovah.

Chapter 32

Psa 32:1 A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Psa 32:2 Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
Psa 32:3 When I kept silence, my bones became old through my roaring all the day long.
Psa 32:4 For by day and by night Your hand was heavy on me; my sap is turned into the droughts of summer. Selah.
Psa 32:5 I confessed my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psa 32:6 For this let every godly one pray to You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him.
Psa 32:7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall circle me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Psa 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.
Psa 32:9 Be not like the horse, or like the mule, who have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, so that they do not come near you.
Psa 32:10 The wicked has many sorrows, but mercy embraces him who trusts in Jehovah.
Psa 32:11 Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.

Chapter 33

Psa 33:1 Rejoice in Jehovah, O righteous ones; praise is becoming for the upright.
Psa 33:2 Praise Jehovah with lyre; sing to Him with a harp of ten strings.
Psa 33:3 Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with shouts of joy.
Psa 33:4 For the Word of Jehovah is right; and all His works are in truth.
Psa 33:5 He loves righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of Jehovah.
Psa 33:6 By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
Psa 33:7 He gathered the waters of the sea like a heap, setting the depths in storehouses.
Psa 33:8 Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the people of the world stand in awe of Him.
Psa 33:9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.
Psa 33:10 Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plots of the people.
Psa 33:11 The counsel of Jehovah stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
Psa 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah; the people He has chosen for His inheritance.
Psa 33:13 Jehovah looks down from Heaven; He beholds all the sons of mankind.
Psa 33:14 From His dwelling place He looks on all the people of the earth.
Psa 33:15 Together He forms their hearts; His understanding is to all their works.
Psa 33:16 The king is not saved by a great army; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Psa 33:17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither shall he deliver by his great strength.
Psa 33:18 Behold, the eye of Jehovah is to those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy;
Psa 33:19 to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Psa 33:20 Our soul waits for Jehovah; He is our help and our shield.
Psa 33:21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we trust in His holy name.
Psa 33:22 Let Your mercy, O Jehovah, be on us, according as we hope in You.

Chapter 34

Psa 34:1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; His praise always shall be in my mouth.
Psa 34:2 My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah; the humble shall hear and be glad.
Psa 34:3 O magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt His name together.
Psa 34:4 I sought Jehovah, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psa 34:5 They looked to Him, and were filled with light; and their faces were not ashamed.
Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psa 34:7 The Angel of Jehovah camps round about those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Psa 34:8 Taste and see that Jehovah is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him.
Psa 34:9 O fear Jehovah, His holy ones; for there is nothing lacking to those who fear Him.
Psa 34:10 The young lions lack, and suffer hunger; but those who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.
Psa 34:11 Come, listen to me, my sons; I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
Psa 34:12 Who is the man that desires life, and loves days, that he may see good?
Psa 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile.
Psa 34:14 Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Psa 34:15 The eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.
Psa 34:16 The face of Jehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Psa 34:17 The righteous cry, and Jehovah hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Psa 34:18 Jehovah is near to the broken-hearted; and saves those who are of a contrite spirit.
Psa 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.
Psa 34:20 He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Psa 34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked; and those who hate the righteous shall be held guilty.
Psa 34:22 Jehovah redeems the soul of His servants; and none of them who trust in Him shall be guilty.

Chapter 35

Psa 35:1 A Psalm of David. Strive, O Jehovah, with those who strive with me; fight against those who fight against me.
Psa 35:2 Take hold of a shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.
Psa 35:3 Also draw out the spear and the lance against those who pursue me; say to my soul, I am your salvation.
Psa 35:4 Let them be humbled and put to shame, those who seek after my soul; let them be turned back and be brought to blushing, those who plot evil to me.
Psa 35:5 Let them be as chaff before the wind; and let the Angel of Jehovah drive them away.
Psa 35:6 Let their way be dark and slippery; and let the Angel of Jehovah pursue them.
Psa 35:7 For without cause they have spread their net for me in a pit-net; without cause they have dug for my soul.
Psa 35:8 Let destruction come upon him, he will not know; and let his net which he has concealed catch him, let him fall in it, into destruction.
Psa 35:9 And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in His salvation.
Psa 35:10 All my bones shall say, O Jehovah, who is like You, who delivers the poor from those stronger than he; yea, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?
Psa 35:11 Cruel witnesses rose up; they asked of me that which I never knew.
Psa 35:12 They rewarded me evil for good; bereaving my soul.
Psa 35:13 But when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fastings; and my prayer returned into my own bosom.
Psa 35:14 As a friend, as to my brother, I walked; as one who mourns for a mother, I was bowed down, mourning.
Psa 35:15 But in my stumbling they rejoiced, and gathered themselves; the defamers gathered themselves against me, and I knew not; they tore and were not silent,
Psa 35:16 with the hypocrites, mockers, for a cake, they gnashed on me with their teeth.
Psa 35:17 O Jehovah, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my only one from the lions.
Psa 35:18 I will give You thanks in the great congregation; I will praise You among a mighty people.
Psa 35:19 Let not those who are my lying enemies rejoice over me, those who hate me without cause wink with the eye.
Psa 35:20 For they do not speak peace; but they think deceitful things against the quiet ones of the earth.
Psa 35:21 And they widen their mouths against me; they say, Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen.
Psa 35:22 You have seen, O Jehovah; do not keep silence; O Jehovah, do not be far from me.
Psa 35:23 Stir up Yourself and awaken to my judgment, to my cause, my God and my Lord.
Psa 35:24 Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to Your righteousness; and do not let them rejoice over me.
Psa 35:25 Let them not say in their hearts, Aha! Our Soul! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
Psa 35:26 Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor together, those who magnify themselves over me.
Psa 35:27 Let those who delight in my justification shout and rejoice; and they shall say without ceasing, The Lord be magnified, delighting in the peace of His servant.
Psa 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness, of Your praise all the day long.

Chapter 36

Psa 36:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, the servant of Jehovah. The oracle utters transgression to the wicked within my heart. There is no fear of God before his eyes.
Psa 36:2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes in order to find his iniquity, to hate it.
Psa 36:3 The words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good.
Psa 36:4 He plots evil on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not hate evil.
Psa 36:5 Your mercy, O Jehovah, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Psa 36:6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Jehovah, You keep man and beast.
Psa 36:7 How precious is Your loving-kindness, O God! And the sons of men take refuge under the shadow of Your wing.
Psa 36:8 They shall be satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures.
Psa 36:9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we shall see light.
Psa 36:10 O continue Your loving-kindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Psa 36:11 Do not let the foot of pride come against me, and do not let the hand of the wicked move me.
Psa 36:12 There the evil-doers have fallen; they are cast down, and cannot rise.

Chapter 37

Psa 37:1 A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself with evil doers; and do not be envious against the workers of iniquity.
Psa 37:2 For they shall soon wither like the grass; and fade as the green herb.
Psa 37:3 Trust in Jehovah, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth.
Psa 37:4 Delight yourself also in Jehovah, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psa 37:5 Roll your way on Jehovah; trust also in Him, and He will work.
Psa 37:6 And He shall bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your judgment like the noonday.
Psa 37:7 Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of him who practices wickedness.
Psa 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret yourself to do evil.
Psa 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.
Psa 37:10 It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.
Psa 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.
Psa 37:12 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth.
Psa 37:13 Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
Psa 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.
Psa 37:15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
Psa 37:16 A little to the righteous is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psa 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but Jehovah upholds the righteous.
Psa 37:18 Jehovah knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
Psa 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psa 37:20 But the wicked shall pass, and the enemies of Jehovah shall be like the beauty of pastures; they are consumed, like smoke they perish.
Psa 37:21 The wicked borrows, and never pays again; but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.
Psa 37:22 For His blessed ones shall inherit the earth; and those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah; and He delights in his way.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down; for Jehovah upholds his hand.
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 All the day long he deals graciously, and lends; and his seed is blessed.
Psa 37:27 Depart from evil and do good; and live forevermore.
Psa 37:28 For Jehovah loves judgment and does not forsake His saints; they are kept forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.
Psa 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.
Psa 37:31 The Law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
Psa 37:32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
Psa 37:33 Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty when he is judged.
Psa 37:34 Wait on Jehovah, and keep His way, and He shall lift you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
Psa 37:35 I have seen the wicked ruthless, and spreading himself like a luxuriant native tree.
Psa 37:36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.
Psa 37:37 Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.
Psa 37:38 But the sinners are destroyed together; the end of the wicked is cut off.
Psa 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is from Jehovah; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
Psa 37:40 And Jehovah shall help them, and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

Chapter 38

Psa 38:1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O Jehovah, do not rebuke me in Your wrath; neither chasten me in Your fury.
Psa 38:2 For Your arrows stick fast in me, and Your hand presses heavily on me.
Psa 38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger; nor rest in my bones because of my sin.
Psa 38:4 For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Psa 38:5 My wounds have putrefied and rotted, because of my foolishness.
Psa 38:6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
Psa 38:7 For my loins are filled with a burning; and there is no soundness in my flesh.
Psa 38:8 I am feeble and painfully broken; I have roared because of the groanings of my heart.
Psa 38:9 My Lord, all my desire is before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You.
Psa 38:10 My heart pants; my strength fails me; as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.
Psa 38:11 My lovers and my friends stand apart from my plague; and my neighbors stand far off.
Psa 38:12 And those who seek my life lay snares for me; and those who seek my hurt speak sly things, and utter deceits all the day long.
Psa 38:13 But like a deaf one, I do not hear; and I am like a dumb one who opens not his mouth.
Psa 38:14 And I am as a man who hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
Psa 38:15 For in You, O Jehovah, do I hope; You will hear, O Jehovah my God.
Psa 38:16 For I said, Hear me, lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.
Psa 38:17 For I am ready to fall, and my pain is always before me.
Psa 38:18 For I will declare my iniquity; I am anxious from my sin.
Psa 38:19 And my enemies are lively; they are strong; and my haters increase by deception.
Psa 38:20 And those who give evil for good oppose me, because I follow good.
Psa 38:21 Forsake me not, O Jehovah; O my God, be not far from me.
Psa 38:22 Make haste to help me, O my LORD, my salvation.

Chapter 39

Psa 39:1 To the Chief Musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will take heed to my ways so that I do not sin with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked are before me.
Psa 39:2 I became dumb, keeping still; I was silent, from good; and my pain was stirred.
Psa 39:3 My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned; I spoke with my tongue:
Psa 39:4 O Jehovah, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is; I know how frail I am.
Psa 39:5 Behold, You have made my days as a handbreadth, and my age is as nothing before You. Surely every man standing is altogether vanity. Selah.
Psa 39:6 Surely a man walks about like a shadow! Surely they are in an uproar in vain. He heaps up, and does not know who shall gather them.
Psa 39:7 And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.
Psa 39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the fool.
Psa 39:9 I was dumb, I did not open my mouth; because You have done it.
Psa 39:10 Remove Your stroke away from me; I am destroyed by the blow of Your hand.
Psa 39:11 You correct a man for iniquity with rebukes, and you make his desires vanish away like a moth. Surely every man is vanity. Selah.
Psa 39:12 Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears; for I am a stranger with You, a pilgrim, as all my fathers were.
Psa 39:13 Look away from me, and I will smile before I go away and be no more.

Chapter 40

Psa 40:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for Jehovah; and He bowed down to me, and heard my cry.
Psa 40:2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and gave sureness to my steps.
Psa 40:3 And He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in Jehovah.
Psa 40:4 Blessed is the man who makes Jehovah his trust and does not turn to the proud, nor to those who turn aside to a lie.
Psa 40:5 O Jehovah my God, many things You have done, Your wonderful works and Your thoughts which are toward us; they cannot be set in order to You; I will declare and speak, for they are more than can be numbered.
Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened; burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked.
Psa 40:7 Then I said, Lo, I come, in the volume of the Book it is written of Me;
Psa 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My heart.
Psa 40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; lo, I have not kept back My lips, O Jehovah, You know.
Psa 40:10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not hidden Your loving-kindness and Your truth from the great congregation.
Psa 40:11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Jehovah; let Your loving-kindness and Your truth always watch over me.
Psa 40:12 For evils without number have hemmed me in; my sins have taken hold on me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails me.
Psa 40:13 Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me; O Jehovah, make haste to help me.
Psa 40:14 Let them be ashamed and humbled together, those who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame, those who wish me evil.
Psa 40:15 Let them be desolate as a reward for their shame, those who say to me, Aha, aha!
Psa 40:16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You, and the ones loving your salvation always say, Let Jehovah be magnified.
Psa 40:17 But I am poor and needy; Jehovah will care for me; You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not wait.

Chapter 41

Psa 41:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; Jehovah will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psa 41:2 Jehovah will watch over him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed on the earth; and You will not deliver him to the soul of his enemies.
Psa 41:3 Jehovah will hold him up on the bed of sickness; You will change all his bed in his illness.
Psa 41:4 I said, Jehovah, be merciful to me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against You.
Psa 41:5 My enemies speak evil of me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?
Psa 41:6 And when he comes to see me, he speaks vanity; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; he goes out and speaks of it.
Psa 41:7 All those hating me whisper against me; they plot evil against me.
Psa 41:8 They say, A wicked thing is poured out on him, and he who lies down shall rise no more.
Psa 41:9 Even a man, my friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Psa 41:10 But You, O Jehovah, be merciful to me, and raise me up, so that I may repay them.
Psa 41:11 By this I know that You delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.
Psa 41:12 And I, in my integrity You uphold me; and You set me before Your face forever.
Psa 41:13 Blessed is Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen and Amen!

Chapter 42

Psa 42:1 To the Chief Musician. A contemplation; for the sons of Korah. As the hart pants after the water brooks, so my soul pants after You, O God.
Psa 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?
Psa 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day, Where is your God?
Psa 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul on me; for I had gone with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping the feast.
Psa 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and moan within me? Hope in God; for I shall praise Him for the salvation of His face.
Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I will remember You from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermons, from mount Mizar.
Psa 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and Your billows have gone over me.
Psa 42:8 Jehovah will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, my prayer to the God of my life.
Psa 42:9 I will say to God my rock, Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the cruelty of the enemy?
Psa 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, my enemies shame me; while they say daily to me, Where is your God?
Psa 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God.

Chapter 43

Psa 43:1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
Psa 43:2 For You are the God of my strength; why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning under the affliction of the enemy?
Psa 43:3 Oh send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill, and to Your tabernacles.
Psa 43:4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; yea, on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.
Psa 43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God.

Chapter 44

Psa 44:1 To the Chief Musician. For the sons of Korah, a contemplation. We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us the work which You did in their days, in the days of old.
Psa 44:2 You drove out the nations with Your hand, and planted them; You brought evil on peoples and cast them out.
Psa 44:3 For they did not get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, and Your arm, and the light of Your face, because You favored them.
Psa 44:4 You are my king, O God; command victories for Jacob.
Psa 44:5 Through You we will push our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.
Psa 44:6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
Psa 44:7 But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame, those who hated us.
Psa 44:8 In God we boast all the day long, and praise Your name forever. Selah.
Psa 44:9 Now You have cast us off, and have shamed us, and You do not go forth with our armies.
Psa 44:10 You make us turn back from the adversary; and our haters plunder for themselves.
Psa 44:11 You have given us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
Psa 44:12 You have sold Your people for nothing, and You did not increase by their price.
Psa 44:13 You make us a curse to our neighbors, a scorn and a mockery to those who are round about us.
Psa 44:14 You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
Psa 44:15 My shame is always before me, and the shame of my face has covered me:
Psa 44:16 because of the voice of the slanderer and the blasphemer; before the enemy and avenger.
Psa 44:17 All this has come on us; yet we have not forgotten You nor dealt falsely in Your covenant.
Psa 44:18 Our heart is not turned back, nor have our steps turned aside from Your way,
Psa 44:19 though You have crushed us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death.
Psa 44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god,
Psa 44:21 shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
Psa 44:22 Yea, for Your sake we are put to death all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Psa 44:23 Awaken! Why do You sleep, O Jehovah? Arise! Do not cast us off forever.
Psa 44:24 Why do You hide Your face, and forget our affliction and distress?
Psa 44:25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly holds fast to the earth.
Psa 44:26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for the sake of Your mercy.

Chapter 45

Psa 45:1 To the Chief Musician. Concerning the Lilies, for the sons of Korah, a contemplation; A Song of Loves. My heart is overflowing with a good matter; I speak of my works to the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Psa 45:2 You are the fairest of the sons of men; grace is poured into Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever.
Psa 45:3 Gird Your sword on Your thigh, O mighty one, with Your glory and Your majesty.
Psa 45:4 And ride prosperously in Your majesty, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and Your right hand shall teach You fearful things.
Psa 45:5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; peoples fall under You.
Psa 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the staff of Your kingdom is a staff of righteousness.
Psa 45:7 You love righteousness, and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.
Psa 45:8 All Your garments smell of myrrh, and aloes and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.
Psa 45:9 Kings’ daughters are among Your precious ones; on Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.
Psa 45:10 Listen, O daughter, and look; and bow down your ear; and forget your own people and your father’s house.
Psa 45:11 And cause the King greatly to desire your beauty, for He is your Lord, and you shall worship Him.
Psa 45:12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the peoples shall stroke your face.
Psa 45:13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is trimmed with gold.
Psa 45:14 She shall be brought to the king in clothing of needlework; the virgins, her companions after her, shall be brought to You.
Psa 45:15 They shall be led with joy and gladness; they shall enter into the King’s palace.
Psa 45:16 Your sons shall be in the place of your fathers; you will make them princes in all the land.
Psa 45:17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.

Chapter 46

Psa 46:1 To the Chief Musician. For the sons of Korah. A Song “For the Virgins”. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2 Therefore we will not fear when the earth changes, and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas.
Psa 46:3 Let its waters roar and foam; let the mountains shake with the swelling of it. Selah.
Psa 46:4 There is a river, its channels gladden the city of God glad, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her at the turning of the morning.
Psa 46:6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were shaken; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
Psa 46:7 Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psa 46:8 Come, behold the works of Jehovah, who makes ruins on the earth;
Psa 46:9 who makes wars to cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.
Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God! I will be praised among the nations, I will be praised in the earth.
Psa 46:11 Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Chapter 47

Psa 47:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Clap your hand, all you peoples; shout to God with the voice of triumph.
Psa 47:2 For Jehovah Most High is awesome, a great king over all the earth.
Psa 47:3 He shall humble the peoples under us, and nations under our feet.
Psa 47:4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the majesty of Jacob whom He loved. Selah.
Psa 47:5 God has gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.
Psa 47:6 Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our King, sing praise.
Psa 47:7 For God is King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding.
Psa 47:8 God reigns over the nations, God sits on the throne of His holiness.
Psa 47:9 The rulers of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for the shields of the earth are God’s; He is lifted up on high.

Chapter 48

Psa 48:1 A Song and Psalm for the Sons of Korah. Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.
Psa 48:2 Beautiful on high, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Psa 48:3 God is known in her strongholds for a refuge.
Psa 48:4 For, lo, the kings were gathered; they passed by together.
Psa 48:5 They saw, so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hurried away.
Psa 48:6 Fear took hold on them there, and pain, like a woman in labor.
Psa 48:7 You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind;
Psa 48:8 as we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Jehovah of Hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. Selah.
Psa 48:9 We have thought of Your loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of Your temple.
Psa 48:10 According to Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness; let mount Zion rejoice!
Psa 48:11 Let the daughters of Judah shout for joy because of Your judgments!
Psa 48:12 Walk around Zion, and go all around it; count the towers of it,
Psa 48:13 Set your heart on its ramparts, pass between its strongholds; so that you may tell it to the coming generation.
Psa 48:14 For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

Chapter 49

Psa 49:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Hear this, all you peoples; give ear, all inhabitants of the world;
Psa 49:2 both sons of mankind, and sons of man, rich and poor together;
Psa 49:3 my mouth shall speak of wise things; and the thoughts of my heart shall be of understanding.
Psa 49:4 I will bow down my ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying on the harp.
Psa 49:5 Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the perversity of my ambushers will surround me?
Psa 49:6 Those who trust in their wealth, and their many riches, boast themselves.
Psa 49:7 A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him,
Psa 49:8 for the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases forever,
Psa 49:9 yea, he shall yet live forever; he shall never see corruption.
Psa 49:10 For he sees wise men die; likewise the fool and the animal-like ones perish, and leave their wealth to others.
Psa 49:11 Their inward thought is that their houses shall go on forever, and their dwelling-places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
Psa 49:12 But man, though high in honor, does not remain; he is like the animals that perish.
Psa 49:13 This way of theirs is their foolishness; yet their followers delight in their sayings. Selah.
Psa 49:14 Like sheep they are appointed to the grave; death shall reign for them; and the upright shall have the rule over them in the morning; and their form is for rotting; the grave is their home.
Psa 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the hand of the grave; for He will take me. Selah.
Psa 49:16 Be not afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases;
Psa 49:17 for when he dies he shall take nothing away; his glory shall not go down after him.
Psa 49:18 For in his life he blessed his soul; yea, they praise you when you do well to yourself.
Psa 49:19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
Psa 49:20 Man in honor, but without understanding, is like the animals; they shall perish.

Chapter 50

Psa 50:1 A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, Jehovah, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.
Psa 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.
Psa 50:3 Our God comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very stormy all around Him.
Psa 50:4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, so that He may judge His people.
Psa 50:5 Gather My saints to Me; and those who cut My covenant by sacrifice.
Psa 50:6 And the heavens shall declare His righteousness; for God Himself is judge. Selah.
Psa 50:7 Hear, My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God.
Psa 50:8 I will not reprove you for your sacrifices; yea, your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
Psa 50:9 I will take no bull out of your house, nor he-goats out of your folds.
Psa 50:10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
Psa 50:11 I know all the birds of the mountains; and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.
Psa 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness of it.
Psa 50:13 Will I eat the flesh of the mighty, or drink the blood of goats?
Psa 50:14 Offer to God thanksgiving; and pay your vows to the Most High;
Psa 50:15 and call on Me in the day of trouble; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
Psa 50:16 But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you, to declare My Precepts, and to take up My covenant in your mouth?
Psa 50:17 Yea, you hate to be taught, and you toss My Words behind you.
Psa 50:18 When you saw a thief, then you were pleased to be with him, and you have taken part with adulterers.
Psa 50:19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.
Psa 50:20 You sit; you speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
Psa 50:21 These things you have done, and I have kept silence; you thought that I was like yourself, but I will rebuke you, and set in order before your eyes.
Psa 50:22 Now think of this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Psa 50:23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and he who sets a way, I will show him the salvation of God.

Chapter 51

Psa 51:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Psa 51:2 Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Psa 51:3 For I confess my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.
Psa 51:4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done evil in Your sight; that You might be justified when You speak, and be clear when You judge.
Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Psa 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part You shall make me to know wisdom.
Psa 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psa 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which You have broken may rejoice.
Psa 51:9 Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.
Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psa 51:13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners shall be converted to You.
Psa 51:14 Deliver me from the guilt of shedding blood, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
Psa 51:15 O Jehovah, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
Psa 51:16 For You do not desire sacrifice; or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.
Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
Psa 51:18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.
Psa 51:19 Then shall You be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering; then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

Chapter 52

Psa 52:1 To the Chief Musician. A contemplation. A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in evil, O mighty man? The mercy of God endures forever.
Psa 52:2 Your tongue devises evil, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Psa 52:3 You love evil more than good, and lying more than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Psa 52:4 You love all devouring words, O deceitful tongue.
Psa 52:5 God will likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.
Psa 52:6 And the righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,
Psa 52:7 Behold, the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, he was strong in his wickedness.
Psa 52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
Psa 52:9 I will praise You forever, because You have done it; and I will wait on Your name; for it is good before Your saints.

Chapter 53

Psa 53:1 To the Chief Musician on Mahalath. A contemplation. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They acted corruptly, and have worked out abominable wickedness; there is not one doing good.
Psa 53:2 God looked down from Heaven on the sons of mankind to see if any was discerning, who was seeking God.
Psa 53:3 Every one has turned away; they have altogether become filthy; not one is doing good, no, not even one.
Psa 53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? They eat up my people as they eat bread; they have not called on God.
Psa 53:5 There they dreaded with dread, where no dread was; for God has scattered the bones of him who camps against you; you have put them to shame because God rejects them.
Psa 53:6 Who will give from Zion the salvation of Israel? When God brings back the captivity of His people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Chapter 54

Psa 54:1 To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A contemplation. A Psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself among us? Save me, O God, by Your name, and judge me by Your strength.
Psa 54:2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
Psa 54:3 For strangers have risen up against me, and cruel men seek after my soul; they have not set God before them. Selah.
Psa 54:4 Behold, God is my helper; Jehovah is with those who uphold my soul.
Psa 54:5 He shall reward evil to my enemies; cut them off in Your truth.
Psa 54:6 I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Jehovah, for it is good.
Psa 54:7 For He has delivered me out of all trouble; and my eye has seen its desire on my enemies.

Chapter 55

Psa 55:1 To the Chief Musician. For stringed instruments. A contemplation. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not Yourself from my cry.
Psa 55:2 Attend to me, and hear me; I wander and I moan in my complaint,
Psa 55:3 from the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked, for they shake trouble over me, and in wrath they hate me.
Psa 55:4 My heart is pained within me; and the terrors of death have fallen on me.
Psa 55:5 Fear and trembling have come on me, and horror has covered me.
Psa 55:6 And I said, Who will give to me wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
Psa 55:7 Lo, I would wander far off; I would lodge in the desert. Selah.
Psa 55:8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
Psa 55:9 Swallow up, O Jehovah, and divide their tongues; for I have seen violence and fighting in the city.
Psa 55:10 They go around her on her walls by day and night; and evil and sorrow are in her midst.
Psa 55:11 Covetings are in her midst; oppression and guile will not depart from her streets.
Psa 55:12 For it is not an enemy who reviled me; then I could have borne it; it is not one who hates me who magnified himself against me; or I would hide myself from him;
Psa 55:13 but it is you, a man my rank, my guide and my friend.
Psa 55:14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in company.
Psa 55:15 Let desolation take hold on them, and let them go down alive into hell; for evils are among them in their dwellings.
Psa 55:16 I, even I, will call to God, and Jehovah will save me.
Psa 55:17 Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.
Psa 55:18 He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; for there were many with me.
Psa 55:19 God shall hear and answer them, even He who is enthroned of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they do not fear God.
Psa 55:20 He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; he has broken his covenant.
Psa 55:21 The butterings of his mouth were forked, but war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.
Psa 55:22 Cast your burden on Jehovah, and He will keep you; He will never allow the righteous to waver.
Psa 55:23 But You, O God, will bring them down into the pit of ruin; bloody and deceitful men shall not live half their days; but I will trust in You.

Chapter 56

Psa 56:1 To the Chief Musician. Concerning the silent dove, those far off. Of David, a secret treasure, when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; fighting daily, he presses me down.
Psa 56:2 My watchers panted for me daily; for many are they who proudly fight against me.
Psa 56:3 When I am afraid I will trust in You.
Psa 56:4 In God I will praise His Word; in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me.
Psa 56:5 All day long they pervert my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
Psa 56:6 They stir up strife; they hide themselves; they watch my steps as they wait for my soul.
Psa 56:7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.
Psa 56:8 You number my wandering; O put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your Book?
Psa 56:9 When I cry, then my enemies will be turned back. This I know, for God is with me.
Psa 56:10 In God I will praise His Word; in Jehovah will I praise His Word.
Psa 56:11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid of what man can do to me.
Psa 56:12 Your vows are on me, O God; I will give praises to You.
Psa 56:13 For You have delivered my soul from death; have You not kept my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

Chapter 57

Psa 57:1 To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me; for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding-place, until these great troubles pass by.
Psa 57:2 I will cry to God most high, to God who does all things for me.
Psa 57:3 He shall send from Heaven, and save me from the scorn of him who would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
Psa 57:4 My soul is among lions; I lie among those on fire, the sons of men whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Psa 57:5 Be praised above the heavens, O God; let Your glory be above all the earth.
Psa 57:6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me, they have fallen into it. Selah.
Psa 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise.
Psa 57:8 Wake up, my soul! Wake up, harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn.
Psa 57:9 I will praise You, O Jehovah, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations.
Psa 57:10 For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth to the clouds.
Psa 57:11 Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let Your glory be above all the earth.

Chapter 58

Psa 58:1 To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David. Will you indeed speak righteousness in silence? Do you judge uprightly, O sons of men?
Psa 58:2 Yes, in heart you work the evil, you weigh the violence of your hands in the land.
Psa 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from the womb, speaking lies.
Psa 58:4 Their poison is like the poison of a snake; like the deaf adder, he stops his ear,
Psa 58:5 which will not listen to the charmer’s voice, a skillful caster of spells.
Psa 58:6 O God, break their teeth in their mouth; break out the big teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.
Psa 58:7 Let them melt away like waters; they run off to them; he bends his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
Psa 58:8 Let them be as a snail goes into melting; as a miscarriage of a woman, they do not see the sun.
Psa 58:9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, whether green or glowing, He shall sweep it away.
Psa 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Psa 58:11 And man shall say, Truly, there is a reward for the righteous; truly, there is a God judging in the earth.

Chapter 59

Psa 59:1 To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me.
Psa 59:2 Deliver me from the workers of evil and save me from bloody men.
Psa 59:3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.
Psa 59:4 Without my fault they run and prepare themselves; awaken to help me, and look on me.
Psa 59:5 And You, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations; do not be merciful to any plotting evil. Selah.
Psa 59:6 They return at evening; they make a noise like a dog, and go around the city.
Psa 59:7 Behold, they bellow out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears?
Psa 59:8 But You, O Jehovah, shall laugh at them; You will mock at all the nations.
Psa 59:9 O my Strength, let me look to You, for God is my strong tower.
Psa 59:10 The God of my mercy shall go before me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies.
Psa 59:11 Do not kill them, lest my people forget; scatter them by Your power and bring them down, O Jehovah our shield.
Psa 59:12 For the sin of their mouth is the word of their lips, even let them be taken in their pride; and for cursing and the lying which they speak.
Psa 59:13 Consume them in wrath; consume, so that they may not be; and let them know that God rules in Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah.
Psa 59:14 And at evening they shall return; let them howl like a dog, and go around the city.
Psa 59:15 Let them wander up and down for food, and growl if they are not satisfied.
Psa 59:16 But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my strong tower and hiding-place in the day of my trouble.
Psa 59:17 To You, O my strength, I will sing; for God is my strong tower and the God of my mercy.

Chapter 60

Psa 60:1 To the Chief Musician. On the Lily of Testimony. A secret treasure of David, to teach; when he struggled with Aram-naharaim and with Aram of Zobah, when Joab returned and struck twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt. O God, You have cast us off, You have scattered us, You were angry; take us back.
Psa 60:2 You made the earth tremble; You tore it; heal the breaks of it, for it is shaking.
Psa 60:3 You have shown Your people hard things; You have made us to drink the wine of trembling.
Psa 60:4 You have given a banner to those who fear You, to lift it up because of the truth. Selah.
Psa 60:5 Save with Your right hand and answer me, that Your beloved may be delivered.
Psa 60:6 God has spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth.
Psa 60:7 Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; and Ephraim is the strength of My head, Judah is My lawgiver;
Psa 60:8 Moab is My washpot; over Edom I will cast out My shoe; over Philistia I cry in triumph.
Psa 60:9 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
Psa 60:10 Have not You, O God, cast us off? And will You, O God, not go out with our armies?
Psa 60:11 Give us help against our foe; for vain is the help of man.
Psa 60:12 Through God we shall do great things; for it is He who shall trample our enemies.

Chapter 61

Psa 61:1 To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.
Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth I cry to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the Rock higher than I.
Psa 61:3 For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower before the enemy.
Psa 61:4 I will dwell in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the hiding place of Your wings. Selah.
Psa 61:5 For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given an inheritance to those who fear Your name.
Psa 61:6 You will add to the days of the king’s life; his years will be for many generations.
Psa 61:7 He shall abide before God forever; prepare mercy and truth to preserve him.
Psa 61:8 So I will sing praise to Your name forever, so that I may daily pay my vows.

Chapter 62

Psa 62:1 To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only to God is my soul in silence; from Him comes my salvation.
Psa 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my tower; I shall not be greatly moved.
Psa 62:3 How long will you imagine mischief against a man? You will shatter him, all of you; you shall be like a bowing wall and a tottering fence.
Psa 62:4 Surely they have plotted to cast him down from his great height; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse in their heart. Selah.
Psa 62:5 My soul, be silent only to God; for my hope is from Him.
Psa 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my strong tower; I shall not be shaken.
Psa 62:7 In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength; my hiding-place is in God.
Psa 62:8 Trust in Him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a hiding-place for us. Selah.
Psa 62:9 Surely the sons of men are vanity; the sons of men are a lie; they go up in the scales; they are altogether lighter than vanity.
Psa 62:10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
Psa 62:11 God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.
Psa 62:12 Also to You, O Jehovah, belongs mercy; for You give to every man according to his work.

Chapter 63

Psa 63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; I will seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, as in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psa 63:2 so I have seen You in the holy place, seeing Your power and Your glory.
Psa 63:3 Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.
Psa 63:4 So I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
Psa 63:5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,
Psa 63:6 when I remember You on my bed and think of You in the night watches.
Psa 63:7 Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
Psa 63:8 My soul follows hard after You; Your right hand upholds me.
Psa 63:9 But those who seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the depths of the earth.
Psa 63:10 They shall fall by the sword; they shall be a serving for jackals.
Psa 63:11 But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone who swears by Him shall glory; but the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.

Chapter 64

Psa 64:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; guard my life from fear of the enemy.
Psa 64:2 Hide me from the council of those who injure, from the rebelling of the workers of iniquity,
Psa 64:3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword, they tread their arrows, even a bitter word,
Psa 64:4 so that they may shoot at the blameless one from a lurking place; suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.
Psa 64:5 They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?
Psa 64:6 They search out injustice, saying, We have finished hiding a hidden plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are deep.
Psa 64:7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.
Psa 64:8 So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls on themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee.
Psa 64:9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall in wisdom think of His doing.
Psa 64:10 The righteous shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Chapter 65

Psa 65:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm and Song of David. To You silence is praise, O God, in Zion; and to You is a vow paid.
Psa 65:2 To You who hears prayer, all flesh comes.
Psa 65:3 Things of iniquity are mightier than I; as for our transgressions, You shall purge them away.
Psa 65:4 Blessed is the one whom You choose, and cause to come near You. He shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple.
Psa 65:5 By awesome things in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation; who are the hope of all the ends of the earth and the sea, of those far away.
Psa 65:6 The mountains are established by Your strength, banded together with might,
Psa 65:7 who stills the noise of the sea, the roar of their waves, and the uproar of the peoples.
Psa 65:8 And the inhabitants of the furthermost places are afraid of Your signs; You make the beginning of the morning and the evening rejoice.
Psa 65:9 You visit the earth and water it; You greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for in this way You have prepared it.
Psa 65:10 You fill its terraces with water; You deepen its furrows; You make it soft with showers; You bless the sprouting of it.
Psa 65:11 You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drop fatness.
Psa 65:12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness; and the little hills gird themselves with joy.
Psa 65:13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with grain; they shout for joy and sing.

Chapter 66

Psa 66:1 To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth.
Psa 66:2 Sing forth the honor of His name; make His praise glorious.
Psa 66:3 Say to God, How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power, Your enemies pretend obedience to You.
Psa 66:4 All the earth shall worship You, and shall sing to You; they praise Your name. Selah.
Psa 66:5 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
Psa 66:6 He turns the sea into dry land; they went through the flood on foot; there we rejoiced in Him.
Psa 66:7 He rules by His power forever; His eyes behold the nations; let not the rebels lift themselves up. Selah.
Psa 66:8 O bless our God, O peoples, and make the voice of His praise to be heard;
Psa 66:9 who holds our soul in life, and does not allow our feet to slide.
Psa 66:10 For You have proved us, O God; You have tested us, as silver is refined.
Psa 66:11 You have brought us into the net; You have laid affliction on our loins.
Psa 66:12 You have allowed men to ride at our head; we have gone through fire and through water, but You have brought us out to plenty.
Psa 66:13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,
Psa 66:14 those which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken in my trouble.
Psa 66:15 I will offer to You burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.
Psa 66:16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul.
Psa 66:17 I cried to Him with my mouth, and exaltations were under my tongue.
Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, Jehovah will not hear;
Psa 66:19 Surely God has heard; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Psa 66:20 Blessed is God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

Chapter 67

Psa 67:1 To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song. May God be merciful to us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine on us. Selah.
Psa 67:2 So that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.
Psa 67:3 Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples thank You.
Psa 67:4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You shall judge the peoples righteously and govern the nations on earth. Selah.
Psa 67:5 Let the peoples give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.
Psa 67:6 The earth shall yield its increase; and God, our own God, shall bless us.
Psa 67:7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Chapter 68

Psa 68:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song. Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; also let those who hate Him flee before Him.
Psa 68:2 As smoke is driven away, You drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish in the presence of God.
Psa 68:3 But the righteous are glad; they rejoice before God. Yes, let them exceedingly rejoice.
Psa 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; praise Him who rides on the heavens by His name JEHOVAH, and rejoice before Him.
Psa 68:5 In His holy dwelling God is the father of the fatherless, and the judge of the widows.
Psa 68:6 God causes the lonely to live at home; He brings out those who are bound with chains; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Psa 68:7 O God, when You marched before Your people, when You walked through the wilderness; Selah.
Psa 68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
Psa 68:9 You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, by which You upheld Your inheritance when it was weary.
Psa 68:10 Your flock has dwelt in it; You, O God, have prepared in Your goodness for the poor.
Psa 68:11 The Lord gave the Word; the bearers of it were a great army.
Psa 68:12 Kings of armies fled away; and she who stayed at home divided the plunder.
Psa 68:13 When you lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and its pinions with the shimmer of gold.
Psa 68:14 When the Almighty scatters kings in it, it snows on Salmon.
Psa 68:15 The mountain of Bashan is God’s mountain; the Bashan range is a mountain of peaks.
Psa 68:16 Why do you gaze in envy, O mountain range, at the mountain God has chosen for His resting place? Yes, Jehovah will dwell in it forever.
Psa 68:17 The chariots of God are myriads, thousands of thousands; the Lord is among them, in Sinai, in the holy place.
Psa 68:18 You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts for men, yes, for the rebellious also, that You might dwell among them, O Jehovah God.
Psa 68:19 Blessed is Jehovah; He daily bears burdens for us, the God of our salvation. Selah.
Psa 68:20 Our God is the God of salvation; and to Jehovah are the issues of death.
Psa 68:21 Yea, God shall wound the head of His enemies, and the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt.
Psa 68:22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan; I will bring back My people from the depths of the sea;
Psa 68:23 so that your foot may be dipped in the blood of your enemies, and the tongue of your dogs in it.
Psa 68:24 They have seen Your goings, O God; the goings of my God, my King, in the holy place.
Psa 68:25 The singers went before, then the musicians came; among them were the virgins playing the timbrels.
Psa 68:26 O bless God in the congregations, the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.
Psa 68:27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the leaders of Judah and their multitude, the leaders of Zebulun, and the leaders of Naphtali.
Psa 68:28 Your God has commanded your strength; O God, be strong in that which You have worked out for us.
Psa 68:29 Because of Your temple in Jerusalem, kings shall bring a present to You.
Psa 68:30 Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, the herd of bulls, with the calves of the peoples, trampling down with the pieces of silver. He scatters the people who delight in war.
Psa 68:31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall stretch out her hands to God.
Psa 68:32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises to the Lord. Selah.
Psa 68:33 To Him who rides on the heavens of heavens of old; lo, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.
Psa 68:34 Give strength to God over Israel; His majesty and His strength in the skies.
Psa 68:35 O God, You are overwhelming out of Your holy places; the God of Israel is He who gives strength and powers to the people. Blessed is God.

Chapter 69

Psa 69:1 To the Chief Musician. Concerning the Lilies. A Psalm of David. Save me, O God! for the waters have come in on my soul.
Psa 69:2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Psa 69:3 I am weary from my crying; my throat is dried; my eyes fail while I wait for my God.
Psa 69:4 They who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they who would destroy me are mighty, my lying enemies. Then I restored what I did not take away.
Psa 69:5 O God, You know my foolishness, and my guiltiness is not hidden from You.
Psa 69:6 Do not let those who wait on You, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, be ashamed for my sake; let not the ones who seek You be ashamed for my sake, O God of Israel,
Psa 69:7 because I have borne reproach for Your sake, shame has covered my face.
Psa 69:8 I have become a stranger to My brothers, and a foreigner to My mother’s children.
Psa 69:9 For the zeal of Your house has eaten Me up; and the reproaches of those who reproached You have fallen on Me.
Psa 69:10 When I humbled my soul with fasting, it turned to my reproach.
Psa 69:11 I also made sackcloth my clothing, and I became a proverb to them.
Psa 69:12 They who sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
Psa 69:13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Jehovah, in a pleasing time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy hear me, in the truth of Your salvation.
Psa 69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Psa 69:15 Do not let the flood of waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
Psa 69:16 Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your loving-kindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.
Psa 69:17 And hide not Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble; hear me quickly.
Psa 69:18 Draw near my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies.
Psa 69:19 You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You.
Psa 69:20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; and I looked for some to mourn with me, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
Psa 69:21 They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
Psa 69:22 Let their table become a snare before them; and to those at ease a trap.
Psa 69:23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; and make their loins shake without ceasing.
Psa 69:24 Pour out Your wrath on them, and let the glow of Your anger take hold of them.
Psa 69:25 Let their dwelling be wasted; let none dwell in their tents.
Psa 69:26 For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.
Psa 69:27 Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness.
Psa 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.
Psa 69:29 But I am poor and sorrowful; let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high.
Psa 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
Psa 69:31 This also shall please Jehovah better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
Psa 69:32 The humble shall see and be glad; and your heart shall live, you who seek God.
Psa 69:33 For Jehovah hears the needy, and does not despise His prisoners.
Psa 69:34 Let the heavens and earth praise Him, the seas, and everything that moves in them.
Psa 69:35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah; so that they may dwell there, and possess it.
Psa 69:36 And the seed of His servants shall inherit it, and they who love His name shall dwell in it.

Chapter 70

Psa 70:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Jehovah.
Psa 70:2 Let them be ashamed and turned pale, those who seek after my soul; let them be turned backward and blush, those who desire my hurt.
Psa 70:3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame, those who say, Aha, aha!
Psa 70:4 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; and let those who love Your salvation say without ending, Let God be magnified.
Psa 70:5 But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O God; You are my help and my deliverer; O Jehovah, wait no longer!

Chapter 71

Psa 71:1 In You, O Jehovah, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame.
Psa 71:2 Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; bow down Your ear to me, and save me.
Psa 71:3 Be a rock of refuge for me, to which I may always go; You have commanded to save me; for You are my Rock and my Fortress.
Psa 71:4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Psa 71:5 For You are my hope, O Lord God, my trust from my youth.
Psa 71:6 On You I have rested from the womb; You are He who took me out of my mother’s bowels; my praise always shall be of You.
Psa 71:7 I am like a wonder to many, but You are my strong tower.
Psa 71:8 Let my mouth be filled with Your praise, with Your honor all the day.
Psa 71:9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
Psa 71:10 For my enemies speak against me; and those who watch for my soul plot together,
Psa 71:11 saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.
Psa 71:12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste for my help.
Psa 71:13 Let them be ashamed; let those who are enemies of my soul be consumed; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor, those who seek my hurt.
Psa 71:14 But I will hope without ceasing, and I will add more in all Your praise.
Psa 71:15 My mouth shall show forth Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know how many they are.
Psa 71:16 I will go in the strength of the Lord Jehovah; I will speak of Your righteousness, of Yours alone.
Psa 71:17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; and before now I have declared Your wonderful works.
Psa 71:18 And now when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not leave me; until I have declared Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone who is to come.
Psa 71:19 And Your righteousness, O God, is very high, who have done great things. O God, who is like You,
Psa 71:20 who has shown me great and evil distresses; You will turn me; You will make me live. You will turn me from the depths of the earth, You will bring me up.
Psa 71:21 You will increase my greatness and surround and comfort me on every side.
Psa 71:22 I will also praise You with a harp. O my God, I will sing Your truth; to You I will sing with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
Psa 71:23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, and my soul, which You have redeemed.
Psa 71:24 My tongue also shall muse on Your righteousness all the day long; for those who seek my evil have turned pale, they are brought to shame.

Chapter 72

Psa 72:1 A Psalm of Solomon. Give the King Your judgments, O God, and Your righteousness to the King’s son.
Psa 72:2 He will judge Your people in righteousness, and Your poor with judgment.
Psa 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills by righteousness.
Psa 72:4 He shall judge the poor of the people; He shall save the children of the needy, and shall crush in pieces the cruel one.
Psa 72:5 They shall fear You as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
Psa 72:6 He shall come down like rain on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.
Psa 72:7 In His days the righteous shall flourish; and abundance of peace, until the moon is not.
Psa 72:8 He shall also have the rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Psa 72:9 Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him; and His enemies shall lick the dust.
Psa 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Psa 72:11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.
Psa 72:12 For He shall deliver the needy when he cries; and the poor with no helper.
Psa 72:13 He shall have pity on the poor and needy and shall save the souls of the needy.
Psa 72:14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence; and their blood shall be precious in His sight.
Psa 72:15 And He shall live, and to Him shall be given the gold of Sheba; and prayer shall always be made for Him; He shall bless Him all the day long.
Psa 72:16 There shall be a fullness of grain in the earth on the top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like Lebanon, and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
Psa 72:17 His name shall endure forever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun; and men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed.
Psa 72:18 Blessed is Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things.
Psa 72:19 And blessed be His glorious name forever; and all the earth is filled with His glory! Amen and Amen.
Psa 72:20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

Chapter 73

Psa 73:1 A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, to the pure of heart.
Psa 73:2 And I, my foot had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped.
Psa 73:3 For I was jealous of the proud, when I saw the peace of the wicked.
Psa 73:4 For there are no bands in their death; but their strength is fat.
Psa 73:5 They are not in trouble like other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
Psa 73:6 Therefore pride enchains them; violence covers them like a robe.
Psa 73:7 Their eyes stand out with fatness; they have more than the heart could imagine.
Psa 73:8 They scoff and speak in malice of cruelty; from on high they speak.
Psa 73:9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.
Psa 73:10 Therefore His people return here, and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Psa 73:11 And they say, How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?
Psa 73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who are at ease in the world; they increase in riches.
Psa 73:13 Surely I have made my heart pure in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.
Psa 73:14 For all the day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Psa 73:15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I would deceive a generation of Your sons.
Psa 73:16 When I thought deeply in order to understand this, it was painful for me,
Psa 73:17 until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end.
Psa 73:18 Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down into ruin.
Psa 73:19 How have they been brought into grief, as in a moment! They are fully eaten up with terrors,
Psa 73:20 like a dream when one awakens; so, O Jehovah, when You awake, You shall despise their image.
Psa 73:21 For my heart was grieved and I was pricked in my reins.
Psa 73:22 So foolish was I, and I did not know; I was like a beast before You.
Psa 73:23 But I am always with You; You have held me by my right hand.
Psa 73:24 You shall lead me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Psa 73:25 Whom have I in Heaven? And besides You I desire none on earth.
Psa 73:26 My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart, and my part forever.
Psa 73:27 For lo, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all who go lusting away from You.
Psa 73:28 And I, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in Jehovah God, to declare all Your works.

Chapter 74

Psa 74:1 An Instruction of Asaph. O God, have You cast us off forever? Will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
Psa 74:2 Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, the rod of Your inheritance which You have redeemed; this mount Zion in which You have dwelt.
Psa 74:3 Lift up Your feet to the never-ending ruins, even all that the enemy has done wickedly in the sanctuary.
Psa 74:4 Your enemies roar in the midst of Your congregation; they set up their own banners for signs.
Psa 74:5 He is known as one bringing axes on high, on the thick trees.
Psa 74:6 And now all its carvings too, they break down with axes and hammers.
Psa 74:7 They have cast fire into Your sanctuary; they have defiled the dwelling-place of Your name to the ground.
Psa 74:8 They said in their hearts, Together let us rage against them; they have burned up all God’s meeting-places in the land.
Psa 74:9 We did not see our signs; there is no prophet any more; neither is there among us any who knows how long.
Psa 74:10 O God, how long shall the enemy speak evil? Shall the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?
Psa 74:11 Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Draw it out of Your bosom.
Psa 74:12 For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth,
Psa 74:13 You divide the sea by Your strength; You break the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.
Psa 74:14 You cracked open the heads of leviathan, and gave him to be food to the people living in the wilderness.
Psa 74:15 You divide the fountain and the flood; You dry up mighty rivers.
Psa 74:16 The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun.
Psa 74:17 You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
Psa 74:18 Remember this, the enemy has cursed, O Jehovah, and the foolish people have blasphemed Your name.
Psa 74:19 Do not deliver the soul of Your turtle dove to the multitude; forget not the congregation of Your poor forever.
Psa 74:20 Look to the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of the houses of evil.
Psa 74:21 Oh let not the ill-treated ones return ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.
Psa 74:22 Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; remember how the foolish man curses You daily.
Psa 74:23 Forget not the voice of Your enemies; the noise of those who rise up against You keeps on increasing.

Chapter 75

Psa 75:1 To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. To You, O God, we have given thanks, to You we have given thanks; for Your name is near, Your wonderful works declared.
Psa 75:2 When I take the appointed time, I will judge uprightly.
Psa 75:3 The earth and all its people are melting away; I hold up its pillars. Selah.
Psa 75:4 I said to the proud, Do not boast; and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn;
Psa 75:5 do not lift up your horn on high; nor speak with a stiff neck.
Psa 75:6 For lifting up comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
Psa 75:7 But God is the judge; He puts down one and sets up another.
Psa 75:8 For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is fully mixed; and He pours out from it; but the dregs of it, all the wicked of the earth shall drain its dregs and drink.
Psa 75:9 But I will declare forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
Psa 75:10 Also I will cut off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

Chapter 76

Psa 76:1 To the Chief Musician. For stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. God is known in Judah, His name is great in Israel.
Psa 76:2 And His abode is in Salem; and His dwelling-place in Zion.
Psa 76:3 There He broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
Psa 76:4 You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
Psa 76:5 The stouthearted have been stripped; they slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.
Psa 76:6 By Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the horse and the chariot have sunk into a sleep.
Psa 76:7 You, even You, are terrifying, and who can stand when once You are angry?
Psa 76:8 You cause judgment to be heard from Heaven; the earth feared and was still,
Psa 76:9 when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
Psa 76:10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; the wrath that is left, You shall bind up.
Psa 76:11 Vow, and pay to Jehovah your God; let all that are around Him bring presents to the Fearful One.
Psa 76:12 He shall cut off the spirit in princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.

Chapter 77

Psa 77:1 To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. I cried to God with my voice, to God is my voice; and He gave ear to me.
Psa 77:2 In the day of my trouble I sought Jehovah; my hand was poured in the night, and ceased not; my soul refused to be comforted.
Psa 77:3 I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit fainted. Selah.
Psa 77:4 You keep my eyes awake; I am troubled and I cannot speak.
Psa 77:5 I have thought on the days of old, the years of ages past.
Psa 77:6 I remember my song in the night; I speak with my own heart, and my spirit carefully searches.
Psa 77:7 Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?
Psa 77:8 Is His mercy gone forever? Has His Word failed for all generations?
Psa 77:9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah.
Psa 77:10 And I said, This is my weakness, the years of the right hand of the Most High.
Psa 77:11 I will remember the works of Jehovah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
Psa 77:12 I will also think on all Your work, and talk of Your doings.
Psa 77:13 Your way, O God, is in holiness; who is so great a God as our God?
Psa 77:14 You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the people.
Psa 77:15 You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
Psa 77:16 The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.
Psa 77:17 The clouds poured out water; the skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flew here and there.
Psa 77:18 The voice of Your thunder was in the sky; the lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
Psa 77:19 Your way is in the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footsteps are not known.
Psa 77:20 You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Chapter 78

Psa 78:1 An instruction of Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law; bow down your ears to the words of my mouth.
Psa 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will speak dark sayings of old,
Psa 78:3 which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
Psa 78:4 We will not hide them from their sons, showing to the generations to come the praises of Jehovah, and His strength, and His wonderful works that He has done.
Psa 78:5 For He set up a testimony in Jacob, and ordered a Law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their sons;
Psa 78:6 so that the generation to come might know; sons shall be born, and they shall arise and tell their sons,
Psa 78:7 so that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His Commandments;
Psa 78:8 and might not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful with God.
Psa 78:9 The sons of Ephraim, armed shooters of bows, turned back in the day of battle.
Psa 78:10 They did not keep the covenant of God, and refused to walk in His Law.
Psa 78:11 And they forgot His works and His wonders which He had shown them.
Psa 78:12 He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.
Psa 78:13 He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand in a heap.
Psa 78:14 And in the daytime He led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.
Psa 78:15 He split the rocks in the wilderness, and let them drink, as from the great depths.
Psa 78:16 He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
Psa 78:17 And they sinned still more against Him, by provoking the Most High in the wilderness.
Psa 78:18 And they tempted God in their heart by asking food for their lust.
Psa 78:19 And they spoke against God; they said, Can God set a table in the wilderness?
Psa 78:20 Behold! He struck the rock so that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed. Can He also give bread? Can He provide flesh for His people?
Psa 78:21 Therefore Jehovah heard, and was made furious; so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel,
Psa 78:22 because they did not believe in God, and did not trust in His salvation;
Psa 78:23 though He had commanded the clouds from above, and had opened the doors of the heavens;
Psa 78:24 and had rained down manna on them to eat, and He gave them of the grain of the heavens.
Psa 78:25 Man ate the food of the mighty; He sent them meat to the full.
Psa 78:26 He caused an east wind to blow in the sky; and by His power He brought in the south wind.
Psa 78:27 and He also rained flesh on them like dust, and winged birds like the sand of the sea;
Psa 78:28 and He let them fall in the middle of their camp, all around their tents.
Psa 78:29 So they ate, and were filled to the full; for He gave them their own desire.
Psa 78:30 They were not turned away from their lust, but while their food was still in their mouths,
Psa 78:31 the wrath of God came on them and killed the fattest of them, and struck down the chosen of Israel.
Psa 78:32 For all this they still sinned, and did not believe because of His wonderful works.
Psa 78:33 Therefore He ended their days in vanity and their years in trouble.
Psa 78:34 When He killed them, then they looked for Him; and they turned back and sought after God.
Psa 78:35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God was their redeemer.
Psa 78:36 But they flattered Him with their mouths, and they lied to Him with their tongues.
Psa 78:37 For their heart was not right with Him, neither were they faithful in His covenant.
Psa 78:38 But He, full of pity, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them; yea, many times He turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath.
Psa 78:39 For He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away and does not come again.
Psa 78:40 How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert!
Psa 78:41 Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and pained the Holy One of Israel.
Psa 78:42 They did not remember His hand, the day when He delivered them from the enemy;
Psa 78:43 how He had set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the fields of Zoan.
Psa 78:44 He turned their rivers into blood, and their floods, so that they could not drink.
Psa 78:45 He sent different kinds of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.
Psa 78:46 He also gave their crops to the stripping locust, and their labor to the locust.
Psa 78:47 He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet.
Psa 78:48 He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire.
Psa 78:49 He sent on them the heat of His anger, wrath and fury and trouble, by sending evil angels.
Psa 78:50 He made a way to His anger; He did not save their soul from death, but gave their life over to the plague,
Psa 78:51 and struck all the first-born in Egypt, the first of the strong in the tents of Ham;
Psa 78:52 and led His people forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
Psa 78:53 And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; but the sea flooded over their enemies.
Psa 78:54 And He brought them within His own holy border, this mountain, which His right hand had bought.
Psa 78:55 He also cast out the nations before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
Psa 78:56 Yet they tempted and provoked the Most High God, and kept not His testimonies;
Psa 78:57 but they turned back, and acted unfaithfully like their fathers; they were turned aside like a deceiving bow.
Psa 78:58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.
Psa 78:59 When God heard, He was angry, and turned away from Israel;
Psa 78:60 so that He left the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which He placed among men,
Psa 78:61 and delivered His strength into captivity, and His glory into the enemy’s hands.
Psa 78:62 He also gave His people over to the sword, and was angry with His inheritance.
Psa 78:63 The fire burned up their young men; and their maidens were not given in marriage.
Psa 78:64 Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows were not able to weep.
Psa 78:65 Then the Lord awakened like one out of sleep, like a mighty man rejoicing with wine.
Psa 78:66 And He drove His enemies backward; He put them to a never-ending shame.
Psa 78:67 And He refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim;
Psa 78:68 but chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which He loved.
Psa 78:69 And He built His holy place like high palaces, like the earth which He has founded forever.
Psa 78:70 He also chose David His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;
Psa 78:71 from following the ewes great with young He brought him to feed Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance.
Psa 78:72 And he fed them according to the pureness of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Chapter 79

Psa 79:1 A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the nations have come into Your inheritance; they have defiled Your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.
Psa 79:2 They have given the dead bodies of Your servants as food for the birds of the heavens, the flesh of Your saints to the beasts of the earth.
Psa 79:3 They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and none to bury.
Psa 79:4 We have become a shame to our neighbors, a scorn and mockery to those who are around us.
Psa 79:5 How long, O Jehovah? Will You be angry forever? Shall Your jealousy burn like fire?
Psa 79:6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations who have not known You, and on the kingdoms who have not called on Your name.
Psa 79:7 For they have eaten up Jacob, and wasted his dwelling-place.
Psa 79:8 O do not remember against us our former sins; let Your tender mercies meet us quickly; for we are brought very low.
Psa 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; and deliver us, and atone for our sins, for Your name’s sake.
Psa 79:10 Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let Him be known among the nations before our eyes by the revenging of the blood of Your servants which is shed.
Psa 79:11 Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power, leave a remnant of those who are to die,
Psa 79:12 and give to our neighbors their curse sevenfold into their bosom, the curse with which they have cursed You, O Lord.
Psa 79:13 Then we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; we will show forth Your praise to all generations.

Chapter 80

Psa 80:1 To the Chief Musician. A Testimony Concerning the Lilies. A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You dwelling between the cherubs, shine forth.
Psa 80:2 Stir up Your strength before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, and come, save us.
Psa 80:3 Turn us again, O God, and cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!
Psa 80:4 O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, how long will You be angry against the prayer of Your people?
Psa 80:5 You feed them with the bread of tears; and give them tears to drink in great measure.
Psa 80:6 You make us a strife for our neighbors; and our enemies laugh among themselves.
Psa 80:7 Turn us again, O God of Hosts, and cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psa 80:8 You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations and planted it.
Psa 80:9 You cleared before it, and caused it to take deep root; and it filled the land.
Psa 80:10 The hills were covered with its shadow, and its boughs were as the great cedars.
Psa 80:11 It sent out its boughs to the sea, and its branches to the river.
Psa 80:12 Why have You broken down its hedges, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
Psa 80:13 The boar out of the wood wastes it, and the wild beast of the field eats it.
Psa 80:14 Return, we beg You, O God of Hosts; look down from Heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,
Psa 80:15 and the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, and the Son that You make strong for Yourself.
Psa 80:16 It is burned with fire, and cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your holy face.
Psa 80:17 Let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand, on the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.
Psa 80:18 So we will not go back from You; make us live, and we will call on Your name.
Psa 80:19 Turn us again, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Chapter 81

Psa 81:1 To the Chief Musician. On Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob.
Psa 81:2 Lift up a psalm, and bring the timbrel here, the pleasing lyre and harp.
Psa 81:3 Blow the ram’s horn in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
Psa 81:4 For this was a Precept for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
Psa 81:5 This He ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when He went out over the land of Egypt; I heard a language I understood not.
Psa 81:6 I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were delivered from the pots.
Psa 81:7 You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
Psa 81:8 Hear, O My people, and I will testify to you; O Israel, if you will listen to Me,
Psa 81:9 there shall be no strange god in you; nor shall you worship any strange god.
Psa 81:10 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Psa 81:11 But My people would not listen to My voice, and Israel would have none of Me.
Psa 81:12 So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; and they walked in their own conceits.
Psa 81:13 Oh that My people had listened to Me, and Israel had walked in My ways!
Psa 81:14 I would soon have humbled their enemies, and would have turned My hand against their foes.
Psa 81:15 The haters of Jehovah would have been found liars to Him, and their time would have lasted forever.
Psa 81:16 And He would have fed them also with the finest of the wheat; and with honey out of the rock I would have satisfied you.

Chapter 82

Psa 82:1 A Psalm of Asaph. God stands in the congregation of the mighty; in the midst of the gods He judges.
Psa 82:2 How long will you judge unjustly and lift up the faces of the wicked? Selah.
Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psa 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy; save them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa 82:5 They neither know nor will understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Psa 82:6 I have said, You are gods; and all of you sons of the Most High.
Psa 82:7 But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psa 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit in all nations.

Chapter 83

Psa 83:1 A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. Keep not silence, O God; do not be speechless, and be not still, O God.
Psa 83:2 For lo, Your enemies roar; and those who hate You have lifted up their head.
Psa 83:3 They take shrewd counsel against Your people, and plot against Your hidden ones.
Psa 83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, so that the name Israel may be remembered no more.
Psa 83:5 For with one heart they have plotted together; they have made a covenant against You–
Psa 83:6 the tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarites;
Psa 83:7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre;
Psa 83:8 and Assyria has joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah.
Psa 83:9 Do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin at the torrent Kishon;
Psa 83:10 who perished at Endor; they became as dung for the earth.
Psa 83:11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, all their princes like Zebah, and like Zalmunna;
Psa 83:12 who said, Let us take possession for ourselves of the houses of God.
Psa 83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; like the stubble before the wind.
Psa 83:14 As the fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
Psa 83:15 so pursue them with Your tempest, and make them afraid with Your storm.
Psa 83:16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Jehovah.
Psa 83:17 Let them be ashamed and troubled forever; yea, let them be put to shame, and lost;
Psa 83:18 so that men may know that Your name is JEHOVAH, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Chapter 84

Psa 84:1 To the Chief Musician. On Gittith. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. How lovely are Your tabernacles, O Jehovah of Hosts!
Psa 84:2 My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of Jehovah; my heart and my flesh shout for joy to the living God.
Psa 84:3 Even the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young, Your altars, O Jehovah of Hosts, my King and my God.
Psa 84:4 Blessed are they who dwell in Your house; they will still praise You. Selah.
Psa 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts.
Psa 84:6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will make it a fountain; the early rain also covers it with blessings.
Psa 84:7 They go from strength to strength, appearing in Zion before God.
Psa 84:8 O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Psa 84:9 Behold, O God, our shield, and look on the face of Your anointed.
Psa 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psa 84:11 For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Psa 84:12 O Jehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You.

Chapter 85

Psa 85:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O Jehovah, You have been gracious to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Psa 85:2 You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sins. Selah.
Psa 85:3 You have taken away all Your wrath; You have turned from the heat of Your anger.
Psa 85:4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.
Psa 85:5 Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations?
Psa 85:6 Will You not give us life again, so that Your people may rejoice in You?
Psa 85:7 Show us Your mercy, O Jehovah, and grant us Your salvation.
Psa 85:8 I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; for He will speak peace to His people, and to His saints; but let them not turn again to folly.
Psa 85:9 Surely His salvation is near those that fear Him, so that glory may dwell in our land.
Psa 85:10 Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Psa 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from Heaven.
Psa 85:12 Yea, Jehovah shall give good; and our land shall yield its increase.
Psa 85:13 Righteousness shall go before Him and shall set us in the way of His steps.

Chapter 86

Psa 86:1 A Prayer of David. Bow down Your ear, O Jehovah, hear me; for I am poor and needy.
Psa 86:2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You.
Psa 86:3 Be merciful to me, O Lord; for I cry to You daily.
Psa 86:4 Give joy to the soul of Your servant; for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
Psa 86:5 For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all those who call on You.
Psa 86:6 Give ear, O Jehovah, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my prayers.
Psa 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call on You; for You will answer me.
Psa 86:8 Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works.
Psa 86:9 All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name.
Psa 86:10 For You are great and do wonderful things; You alone are God.
Psa 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in Your truth; my heart rejoices to fear Your name.
Psa 86:12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore.
Psa 86:13 For great is Your mercy toward me; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
Psa 86:14 O God, the proud have risen against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my life, and have not set You before them.
Psa 86:15 But You, O God, are God full of pity, and gracious, long-suffering, and rich in mercy and truth.
Psa 86:16 Oh turn to me, and have mercy on me; give Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid.
Psa 86:17 Show me a token for good, so that they who hate me may see and be ashamed; because You, Jehovah, have helped me and comforted me.

Chapter 87

Psa 87:1 A Psalm for the sons of Korah, A Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
Psa 87:2 Jehovah loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Psa 87:3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.
Psa 87:4 I will mention Rahab and Babylon to those who know me; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
Psa 87:5 And to Zion it shall be said, This man and that man was born in her; and the Highest shall establish her.
Psa 87:6 Jehovah shall count, in recording the peoples, that this man was born there. Selah.
Psa 87:7 And the singers, the players of the pipe: all my springs are in You!

Chapter 88

Psa 88:1 A Song. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. To the Chief Musician. On Mahalath, to make humble. A Poem of Heman the Ezrahite. O Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before You.
Psa 88:2 Let my prayer come before You; bow down Your ear to my cry.
Psa 88:3 For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near the grave.
Psa 88:4 I am counted with those who go down to the Pit; I am like a feeble man;
Psa 88:5 free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom You remember no more; and by Your hand they are cut off.
Psa 88:6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
Psa 88:7 Your wrath lies hard on me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah.
Psa 88:8 You have taken my friends away from me; You have made me a hateful thing to them. I am shut up, and I cannot go out.
Psa 88:9 My eye mourns because of affliction; O Jehovah, I have called daily on You; I have stretched out my hands to You.
Psa 88:10 For will You do wonders to the dead? Shall the dead rise and praise You? Selah.
Psa 88:11 Shall Your loving-kindness be declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in ruin?
Psa 88:12 Shall Your wonders be known in the dark, and Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
Psa 88:13 But to You I have cried, O Jehovah; and in the morning my prayer shall go before You.
Psa 88:14 O Jehovah, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?
Psa 88:15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up; while I suffer Your terrors, I pine away.
Psa 88:16 Your fierce wrath goes over me; Your terrors have cut me off.
Psa 88:17 They surrounded me like waters all the day long; they have come together around me.
Psa 88:18 You have taken lover and friend far from me, and those who know me into darkness.

Chapter 89

Psa 89:1 A Poem of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of Jehovah forever; with my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
Psa 89:2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever; You shall establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.
Psa 89:3 I have cut a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,
Psa 89:4 Your seed will I establish forever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.
Psa 89:5 And the heavens shall praise Your wonders, O Jehovah, Your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
Psa 89:6 For who in the sky can be ranked with Jehovah? Who among the mighty is like Jehovah?
Psa 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the congregation of the saints, and to be adored by all around Him.
Psa 89:8 O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, who is a strong Jehovah like You? And Your faithfulness is round about You?
Psa 89:9 You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves arise, You still them.
Psa 89:10 You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm.
Psa 89:11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; You have founded the world and its fullness.
Psa 89:12 The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in Your name.
Psa 89:13 You have a mighty arm; Your hand is strong, and Your right hand is high.
Psa 89:14 Justice and judgment are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth shall go before Your face.
Psa 89:15 Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound; they shall walk, O Jehovah, in the light of Your face.
Psa 89:16 In Your name they shall rejoice all the day; and in Your righteousness they shall be lifted up.
Psa 89:17 For You are the glory of their strength; and in Your favor our horn shall be lifted up.
Psa 89:18 For Jehovah is our shield; yea, our King is the Holy One of Israel.
Psa 89:19 Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have lifted up a chosen one out of the people.
Psa 89:20 I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him.
Psa 89:21 My hand shall be always with him; My arm also shall make him strong.
Psa 89:22 The enemy shall not use force on him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Psa 89:23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.
Psa 89:24 But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and in My name his horn shall be lifted up.
Psa 89:25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Psa 89:26 He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Psa 89:27 And I will make him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.
Psa 89:28 I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
Psa 89:29 Also I have set his seed forever, and his throne as the days of the heavens.
Psa 89:30 If his children forsake My Law, and do not walk in My judgments;
Psa 89:31 if they profane My Precepts, and do not keep My Commandments;
Psa 89:32 then I will visit their wickedness with the rod, and their sin with stripes.
Psa 89:33 But I will not completely take My loving-kindness from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness.
Psa 89:34 I will not break My covenant, nor change the thing that has gone out of My lips.
Psa 89:35 Once I have sworn by My holiness that I will not lie to David.
Psa 89:36 His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
Psa 89:37 It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in the heavens. Selah.
Psa 89:38 But You have cast off and rejected us; You have been angry with Your anointed.
Psa 89:39 You have turned away from the covenant of Your servant; You have defiled his crown to the ground.
Psa 89:40 You have broken down all his hedges; You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
Psa 89:41 All who pass by the way plunder him; he is a curse to his neighbors.
Psa 89:42 You have set up the right hand of his enemies; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
Psa 89:43 You also have turned back the edge of his sword and have not made him stand in the battle.
Psa 89:44 You have made his glory to cease, and have thrown his throne down to the ground.
Psa 89:45 The days of his youth You have shortened; You have covered him with shame. Selah.
Psa 89:46 How long, Jehovah? Will You hide Yourself forever? Shall Your wrath burn like fire?
Psa 89:47 Remember, I pray, how short my time is; why have You made all men in vain?
Psa 89:48 What man lives and never sees death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
Psa 89:49 O Lord, where are Your former loving-kindnesses which You swore to David in Your truth?
Psa 89:50 Remember, Lord, the scorn of Your servants; how I bear in my bosom the insult of all the mighty people,
Psa 89:51 with which Your enemies have cursed, O Jehovah; with which they have cursed the footsteps of Your anointed.
Psa 89:52 Blessed is Jehovah forevermore. Amen and Amen.

Chapter 90

Psa 90:1 A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. O Jehovah, You have been our dwelling-place in all generations.
Psa 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting You are God.
Psa 90:3 You turn man to dust, and say, Return, sons of men.
Psa 90:4 For a thousand years in Your sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psa 90:5 You carry them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which grows up.
Psa 90:6 In the morning it sprouts and shoots up; in the evening it is cut down, and dries up.
Psa 90:7 For we are burned up by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are troubled.
Psa 90:8 You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your face.
Psa 90:9 For all our days pass away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a murmur.
Psa 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by strength they are fourscore years, yet their pride is labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Psa 90:11 Who knows the power of Your anger? And as Your fear is, so is Your wrath.
Psa 90:12 So teach us to number our days, so that we may bring a heart of wisdom.
Psa 90:13 Return, O Jehovah! How long? And give pity to Your servants.
Psa 90:14 Satisfy us early with Your mercy, so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psa 90:15 Make us glad according to the days of our affliction, the years in which we have seen evil.
Psa 90:16 Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their sons.
Psa 90:17 And let the beauty of Jehovah our God be on us; and establish the work of our hands on us; yea, the work of our hands, establish it.

Chapter 91

Psa 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2 I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust.
Psa 91:3 Surely He will deliver you from the fowler’s trap and from the destroying plague.
Psa 91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. His truth shall be your shield, and buckler.
Psa 91:5 You shall not fear the terror by night; nor because of the arrow that flies by day;
Psa 91:6 nor for the plague that walks in darkness, of the destruction laying waste at noonday.
Psa 91:7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you.
Psa 91:8 Only with your eyes you shall look and see the reward of the wicked.
Psa 91:9 Because You, O Jehovah, are My refuge; if You have made the Most High Your dwelling-place,
Psa 91:10 no evil shall befall You, nor shall any plague come near Your dwelling.
Psa 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways.
Psa 91:12 They shall bear You up in their hands, lest You dash your foot against a stone.
Psa 91:13 You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the jackal You shall trample underfoot.
Psa 91:14 Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high, because He has known My name.
Psa 91:15 He shall call on Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him.
Psa 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.

Chapter 92

Psa 92:1 A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is good to give thanks to Jehovah, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
Psa 92:2 to show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night;
Psa 92:3 on the ten strings, and on the harp, with sounding music on the lyre.
Psa 92:4 For You, Jehovah, have made Me glad with Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
Psa 92:5 O Jehovah, how great are Your works; Your purposes are very deep.
Psa 92:6 A beastly man does not know; nor does a fool understand this.
Psa 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity blossom, it is that they shall be destroyed forever;
Psa 92:8 but You, Jehovah, are high forever.
Psa 92:9 For, lo, Your enemies, O Jehovah; for lo, Your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Psa 92:10 But You shall lift up my horn as the wild ox; and I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Psa 92:11 Also my eye shall see my desire on my enemies, and my ears shall hear the wicked who rise up against me.
Psa 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Psa 92:13 Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Psa 92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flowering;
Psa 92:15 to show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

Chapter 93

Psa 93:1 Jehovah reigns, He is clothed with majesty; Jehovah is clothed with strength. He clothed Himself and the world is established; it shall not be shaken.
Psa 93:2 Your throne is established of old; You are from everlasting.
Psa 93:3 The floods have lifted up, O Jehovah, the floods have lifted up their voices; the floods lift up their waves.
Psa 93:4 Jehovah on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.
Psa 93:5 Your testimonies are very sure; holiness becomes Your house forever, O Jehovah.

Chapter 94

Psa 94:1 O God of vengeance, Jehovah, the God of vengeance, shine forth!
Psa 94:2 Lift up Yourself, Judge of the earth; give a just repayment to the proud.
Psa 94:3 How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked exult?
Psa 94:4 They gush; they speak impudent things; all the workers of iniquity speak proudly.
Psa 94:5 They crush Your people, O Jehovah, and afflict Your inheritance.
Psa 94:6 They kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
Psa 94:7 Yet they say, Jehovah shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob observe it.
Psa 94:8 Understand, you beastly ones among the people; and fools, when will you be wise?
Psa 94:9 He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
Psa 94:10 He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?
Psa 94:11 Jehovah knows the thoughts of man, that they are vain.
Psa 94:12 Blessed is the man whom You chasten, O Jehovah, to teach him out of Your Law;
Psa 94:13 that You may give him rest from the days of trouble, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
Psa 94:14 For Jehovah will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.
Psa 94:15 But judgment shall return to righteousness; and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
Psa 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psa 94:17 Unless Jehovah had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
Psa 94:18 When I said, My foot slips; Your mercy, O Jehovah, held me up.
Psa 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me Your comforts delight my soul.
Psa 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You, which frames mischief by a law?
Psa 94:21 They gather themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Psa 94:22 But Jehovah is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
Psa 94:23 And He will bring on them their own iniquity, and He will cut them off in their evil. Jehovah our God shall cut them off.

Chapter 95

Psa 95:1 Oh come, let us sing to Jehovah; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.
Psa 95:2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to Him with psalms.
Psa 95:3 For Jehovah is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psa 95:4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the strength of the hills is also His.
Psa 95:5 The sea is His, and He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
Psa 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Jehovah our maker.
Psa 95:7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice,
Psa 95:8 harden not your heart, as in the day of strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness;
Psa 95:9 when your fathers tempted Me, tested Me, and saw My work.
Psa 95:10 For forty years I was grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways;
Psa 95:11 to whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest.

Chapter 96

Psa 96:1 Oh sing to Jehovah a new song; sing to Jehovah, all the earth.
Psa 96:2 Sing to Jehovah, bless His name; show forth His salvation from day to day.
Psa 96:3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all people.
Psa 96:4 For Jehovah is great, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols; but Jehovah made the heavens.
Psa 96:6 Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psa 96:7 Give to Jehovah, O families of the people; give to Jehovah glory and strength.
Psa 96:8 Give to Jehovah the glory due to His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Psa 96:9 O worship Jehovah in the beauty of holiness; fear before Him, all the earth.
Psa 96:10 Say among the nations, Jehovah reigns; and the world shall be established; it shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples in uprightness.
Psa 96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness of it.
Psa 96:12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it; then shall all the trees of the forest rejoice
Psa 96:13 before Jehovah; for He comes, for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.

Chapter 97

Psa 97:1 Jehovah reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of islands be glad.
Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne.
Psa 97:3 A fire goes before Him and burns up His enemies round about.
Psa 97:4 His lightnings lit up the world; the earth saw and trembled.
Psa 97:5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of Jehovah of the whole earth.
Psa 97:6 The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.
Psa 97:7 All those who serve graven images are ashamed, those who boast themselves in idols; all gods bow down before Him.
Psa 97:8 Zion heard and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of Your judgments, O Jehovah.
Psa 97:9 For You, Jehovah, are high above all the earth; You are lifted on high far above all gods.
Psa 97:10 You who love Jehovah, hate evil; He keeps the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa 97:11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
Psa 97:12 Rejoice in Jehovah, righteous ones; and give thanks at the memory of His holiness.

Chapter 98

Psa 98:1 A Psalm. O sing to Jehovah a new song; for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have saved for Him.
Psa 98:2 Jehovah has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has unveiled to the eyes of the nations.
Psa 98:3 He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of Jehovah.
Psa 98:4 Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all the earth; breakout, and rejoice, and sing praise.
Psa 98:5 Sing to Jehovah with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
Psa 98:6 With trumpets and sound of a horn make a joyful noise before Jehovah, the King.
Psa 98:7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it.
Psa 98:8 Let the floods clap their hands; let the hills be joyful together
Psa 98:9 before Jehovah; for He comes to judge the earth; with righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples in uprightness.

Chapter 99

Psa 99:1 Jehovah reigns; let the peoples tremble. He sits between the cherubs; let the earth quake.
Psa 99:2 Jehovah is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples.
Psa 99:3 Let them praise Your great and fearful name; it is holy.
Psa 99:4 The king’s strength also loved judgment; You established uprightness; You worked judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
Psa 99:5 Praise Jehovah our God, and worship at His footstool; He is holy.
Psa 99:6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel among those who called on His name; they called on Jehovah, and He answered them.
Psa 99:7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies and the ordinance that He gave them.
Psa 99:8 You answered them, O Jehovah our God; You were a God who forgave them, though You take vengeance for their deeds.
Psa 99:9 Praise Jehovah our God, and worship at His holy hill; for Jehovah our God is holy.

Chapter 100

Psa 100:1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all you lands.
Psa 100:2 Worship Jehovah with gladness; come before His presence with singing.
Psa 100:3 Know that Jehovah, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Psa 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psa 100:5 For Jehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.

Chapter 101

Psa 101:1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment; to You, O Jehovah, I will sing praise.
Psa 101:2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
Psa 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not hold on to me.
Psa 101:4 A perverse heart will depart from me; I will not know the wicked.
Psa 101:5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will cut him off; him who has a high look and a proud heart, I will not allow.
Psa 101:6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, so that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve Me.
Psa 101:7 He who works falsely shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not stay in my sight.
Psa 101:8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land, so that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of Jehovah.

Chapter 102

Psa 102:1 A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before Jehovah. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and let my cry come to You.
Psa 102:2 Hide not Your face from me in the day when I am in trouble; bow down Your ear to me; in the day I call, answer me quickly.
Psa 102:3 For my days go up like smoke, and my bones glow like a firebrand.
Psa 102:4 My heart is stricken, and dried like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.
Psa 102:5 Because of the voice of my groaning, my bones hold fast to my skin.
Psa 102:6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert.
Psa 102:7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone on the house top.
Psa 102:8 My enemies curse me all the day; and they who are mad against me are sworn against me.
Psa 102:9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mixed my drink with weeping,
Psa 102:10 because of Your anger and Your wrath; for You have lifted me up and cast me down.
Psa 102:11 My days are like a shadow stretched out; and I wither like grass.
Psa 102:12 But You, O Jehovah, shall endure forever; and Your memory to all generations.
Psa 102:13 You shall arise, and have mercy on Zion; for the time to pity her, yea, the set time, has come.
Psa 102:14 For Your servants take pleasure in its stones, and pity its dust.
Psa 102:15 So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.
Psa 102:16 When Jehovah shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory.
Psa 102:17 He will turn to the prayer of the forsaken and not despise their prayer.
Psa 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come; and the people who shall be created shall praise Jehovah.
Psa 102:19 For He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from Heaven Jehovah beheld the earth;
Psa 102:20 to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the sons of death;
Psa 102:21 to declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem;
Psa 102:22 when the peoples and the kingdoms have gathered together to serve Jehovah.
Psa 102:23 He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days.
Psa 102:24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days; Your years are through the generation of generations.
Psa 102:25 Of old You have laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Your hands.
Psa 102:26 They shall perish, but You shall endure; yea, all of them shall become old like a garment; like a robe You shall change them, and they shall be changed;
Psa 102:27 but You are He, and Your years shall have no end.
Psa 102:28 The sons of Your servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before You.

Chapter 103

Psa 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Psa 103:2 Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;
Psa 103:3 who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
Psa 103:4 who redeems your life from ruin; who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
Psa 103:5 who satisfies your mouth with good; your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psa 103:6 Jehovah works righteousness and judgment for all who are pressed down.
Psa 103:7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel.
Psa 103:8 Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and rich in mercy.
Psa 103:9 He will not always chasten, nor will He keep His anger forever.
Psa 103:10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so is His mercy toward those who fear Him.
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13 As a father pities his children, Jehovah pities those who fear Him.
Psa 103:14 For He knows our form; He remembers that we are dust.
Psa 103:15 As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
Psa 103:16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and its place shall know it no more.
Psa 103:17 But the mercy of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness is to sons of sons;
Psa 103:18 to those who keep His covenant, and to those who remember to do His Commandments.
Psa 103:19 Jehovah has prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom rules over all.
Psa 103:20 Bless Jehovah, O angels of His, who excel in strength, who do His command, listening to the voice of His Word.
Psa 103:21 Bless Jehovah, all His hosts, ministers of His who do His pleasure.
Psa 103:22 Bless Jehovah, all His works in all places of His rule; bless Jehovah, O my soul.

Chapter 104

Psa 104:1 Bless Jehovah, O my soul. O Jehovah my God, You are very great; You have put on honor and majesty,
Psa 104:2 covering Yourself with light as with a robe; and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;
Psa 104:3 He lays the beams of His upper rooms in the waters. He sets the clouds as His chariots; He walks on the wings of the wind;
Psa 104:4 He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire.
Psa 104:5 He laid the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever.
Psa 104:6 You covered the deep as with a robe; the waters stand above the mountains.
Psa 104:7 At Your rebuke they flee; at the voice of Your thunder they hurry away.
Psa 104:8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys to the place which You have founded for them.
Psa 104:9 You have set a bound that they may not pass over, so that they do not turn again to cover the earth.
Psa 104:10 He sends the springs into the valleys; they flow between the hills.
Psa 104:11 They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses break their thirst.
Psa 104:12 By them the birds of the heavens will have their place of rest; they sing among the branches.
Psa 104:13 He waters the hills from His upper rooms; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.
Psa 104:14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for the service of man, to bring forth food out of the earth,
Psa 104:15 and wine cheers the heart of man, and oil makes his face shine, and bread sustains the heart of man.
Psa 104:16 The trees of Jehovah are full, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted;
Psa 104:17 where the birds make their nests; the fir trees are the house of the stork.
Psa 104:18 The high hills are for the wild goats, and the rocks are a refuge for the badgers.
Psa 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down.
Psa 104:20 You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep forth.
Psa 104:21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
Psa 104:22 The sun rises; they are gathered, and go to their dens to lie down.
Psa 104:23 Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.
Psa 104:24 O Jehovah, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your riches.
Psa 104:25 This is the great and wide sea, in which are creeping things without number, both small and great animals.
Psa 104:26 There the ships go; You made this great sea animal to play in it.
Psa 104:27 These all wait on You, that You may give them their food in due season.
Psa 104:28 You give to them, they gather; You open Your hand; they are filled with good.
Psa 104:29 You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
Psa 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.
Psa 104:31 The glory of Jehovah shall endure forever; Jehovah shall rejoice in His works.
Psa 104:32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.
Psa 104:33 I will sing to Jehovah as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Psa 104:34 My thoughts of Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in Jehovah.
Psa 104:35 Let the sinners perish from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 105

Psa 105:1 O give thanks to Jehovah; call on His name; make known His deeds among the people.
Psa 105:2 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; talk of all His wonderful works.
Psa 105:3 Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek Jehovah rejoice.
Psa 105:4 Seek Jehovah and His strength; seek His face evermore.
Psa 105:5 Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
Psa 105:6 seed of His servant Abraham, sons of Jacob His chosen.
Psa 105:7 He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
Psa 105:8 He has remembered His covenant forever, the Word which He commanded to a thousand generations;
Psa 105:9 the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;
Psa 105:10 and He confirmed it to Jacob for a Law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Psa 105:11 saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
Psa 105:12 when they were a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
Psa 105:13 When they went from one nation to another, from a kingdom to another people,
Psa 105:14 He allowed no man to do them wrong; yea, He reproved kings for their sakes,
Psa 105:15 saying, Touch not my anointed, and do My prophets no harm.
Psa 105:16 And He called for a famine on the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
Psa 105:17 He sent a man before them, Joseph, being sold for a servant;
Psa 105:18 whose feet they hurt with chains; he was laid in iron,
Psa 105:19 until the time that his word came, the Word of Jehovah refined him.
Psa 105:20 The king sent and set him free; the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
Psa 105:21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all he owned,
Psa 105:22 to chain his leaders at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
Psa 105:23 Israel also came into Egypt, and Jacob resided in the land of Ham.
Psa 105:24 And He increased His people greatly and made them stronger than their enemies.
Psa 105:25 He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
Psa 105:26 He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
Psa 105:27 They showed His signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Psa 105:28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His Word.
Psa 105:29 He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.
Psa 105:30 Their land swarmed with frogs in the rooms of their kings.
Psa 105:31 He spoke, and there came fly swarms and gnats in all their borders.
Psa 105:32 He gave them hail for rain and flaming fire in their land.
Psa 105:33 He struck their vines also and their fig trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
Psa 105:34 He spoke, and locusts came, and larvae without number;
Psa 105:35 and they ate up all the plants in their land, and ate the fruit of their ground.
Psa 105:36 He also struck all the first-born in their land, the chief of all their strength.
Psa 105:37 He also brought them out with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Psa 105:38 Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen on them.
Psa 105:39 He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
Psa 105:40 They asked, and He brought quail, and satisfied them with the food of heaven.
Psa 105:41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
Psa 105:42 For He remembered His holy promise and Abraham His servant.
Psa 105:43 And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen with gladness,
Psa 105:44 and gave them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the labor of the people,
Psa 105:45 so that they might take heed to His Precepts and keep His Laws. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 106

Psa 106:1 Praise Jehovah. O give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 106:2 Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah, or cause all His praise to be heard?
Psa 106:3 Blessed are those who keep judgment, he who does righteousness at all times.
Psa 106:4 Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor of Your people; O visit me with Your salvation,
Psa 106:5 that I may see the good of Your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, to glory with Your inheritance.
Psa 106:6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
Psa 106:7 Our fathers did not understand Your wonders in Egypt; they did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, but rebelled at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
Psa 106:8 But He saved them for His name’s sake, to make His mighty power known.
Psa 106:9 And He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; so He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
Psa 106:10 And He saved them from the hand of the hater, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
Psa 106:11 And the waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left.
Psa 106:12 Then they believed His Words; they sang His praise.
Psa 106:13 They hurried and forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel;
Psa 106:14 but they lusted greedily in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.
Psa 106:15 And He gave them what they asked, but sent leanness into their soul.
Psa 106:16 And they were jealous of Moses in the camp, and Aaron the saint of Jehovah.
Psa 106:17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
Psa 106:18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
Psa 106:19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped the melted image.
Psa 106:20 And they changed their Glory into the likeness of an ox that eats grass.
Psa 106:21 They forgot God their Deliverer, who had done great things in Egypt;
Psa 106:22 wonderful works in the land of Ham, fearful things by the Red Sea.
Psa 106:23 And He said that He would destroy them, if Moses His chosen had not stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, so that He should not destroy them.
Psa 106:24 And they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His Word,
Psa 106:25 but murmured in their tents, and did not listen to the voice of Jehovah.
Psa 106:26 And He lifted up His hand to them, to overthrow them in the wilderness;
Psa 106:27 to overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
Psa 106:28 And they joined themselves to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead,
Psa 106:29 and provoked Him to anger with their doings; and the plague broke in on them.
Psa 106:30 Then Phinehas stood and interceded, and the plague was stayed.
Psa 106:31 And it was counted to him for righteousness to all generations forevermore.
Psa 106:32 And they angered Him at the waters of strife so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes;
Psa 106:33 because they provoked his spirit so that he spoke rashly with his lips.
Psa 106:34 They did not destroy the nations as Jehovah commanded them;
Psa 106:35 but were mixed among the nations, and learned their works.
Psa 106:36 And they served their idols, which were a snare to them.
Psa 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,
Psa 106:38 and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was defiled with blood.
Psa 106:39 And they were defiled with their works, and went lusting in their doings.
Psa 106:40 And the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against His people, and He detested His inheritance.
Psa 106:41 And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and those who hated them ruled over them.
Psa 106:42 And their enemies oppressed them, and they were humbled under their hand.
Psa 106:43 Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel and sank in their iniquities.
Psa 106:44 And He looked on their affliction when He heard their cry;
Psa 106:45 and He remembered His covenant for them, and was moved to pity, according to the multitude of His mercies.
Psa 106:46 And He gave them to tender mercies before the face of all their captors.
Psa 106:47 Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name and to triumph in Your praise.
Psa 106:48 Blessed is Jehovah, the God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 107

Psa 107:1 O give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
Psa 107:3 and gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
Psa 107:4 They wandered in the wilderness, in a desert by the way; they found no city to dwell in.
Psa 107:5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Psa 107:6 Then they cried to Jehovah in their distress, and He delivered them out of their troubles.
Psa 107:7 And He guided them by the right way, so as to go to a city to live in.
Psa 107:8 Oh that men would praise Jehovah for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the sons of man!
Psa 107:9 For He satisfies the thirsty soul, and fills the hungry soul with good.
Psa 107:10 Those who sit in the darkness and in the shadow of death, being chained in affliction and iron;
Psa 107:11 because they rebelled against the Words of God, and despised the advice of the Most High.
Psa 107:12 and He humbled their heart with labor; they fell down, and none was helping.
Psa 107:13 Then they cried to Jehovah in their distress, and He saved them out of their troubles.
Psa 107:14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in two.
Psa 107:15 Let them praise Jehovah for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the sons of man!
Psa 107:16 For He has broken the gates of bronze, and cut the bars of iron in two.
Psa 107:17 Fools are afflicted because of their rebellion, and because of their iniquities.
Psa 107:18 Their soul hates all kinds of food; and they draw near the gates of death.
Psa 107:19 Then they cry to Jehovah in their distress, and He saves them out of their troubles.
Psa 107:20 He sent His Word and heals them, and delivers them from their pitfalls.
Psa 107:21 Let them praise Jehovah for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the sons of man!
Psa 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing!
Psa 107:23 They who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters;
Psa 107:24 these see the works of Jehovah and His wonders in the deep.
Psa 107:25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.
Psa 107:26 They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble.
Psa 107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and all their wisdom is swallowed up.
Psa 107:28 And they cry to Jehovah in their trouble, and He brings them out of their troubles.
Psa 107:29 He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.
Psa 107:30 And they are glad because they are quiet; so He brings them to their desired haven.
Psa 107:31 Let them praise Jehovah for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the sons of man!
Psa 107:32 And let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the gathering of the elders.
Psa 107:33 He sets rivers to a wilderness and water-springs to thirsty ground;
Psa 107:34 a fruitful land to a salty desert, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
Psa 107:35 He turns the wilderness into water-ponds, and dry ground into water-springs.
Psa 107:36 And He makes the hungry dwell there, so that they may prepare a city to live in;
Psa 107:37 and sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
Psa 107:38 He also blesses them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and does not allow their cattle to become few.
Psa 107:39 Again, they have become few, and humbled through harshness, affliction, and sorrow.
Psa 107:40 He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no path.
Psa 107:41 But He raises up the poor from affliction and sets families like a flock.
Psa 107:42 The upright shall see and rejoice; and all iniquity shall stop its mouth.
Psa 107:43 Whoever is wise, and will observe these things, they shall understand the mercies of Jehovah.

Chapter 108

Psa 108:1 A Song, A Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and I will give praise, even with my glory.
Psa 108:2 Awake, harp and lyre; I will awake early.
Psa 108:3 I will praise You, O Jehovah, among the peoples; and I will sing praises to You among the nations.
Psa 108:4 For Your mercy is great above the heavens; and Your truth reaches to the clouds.
Psa 108:5 Be lifted up, O God, above the heavens; and Your glory above all the earth;
Psa 108:6 so that Your beloved may be delivered; save with Your right hand, and answer me.
Psa 108:7 God has spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
Psa 108:8 Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine and Ephraim is the strength of My head; Judah is My lawgiver;
Psa 108:9 Moab is My washpot; I will cast out My shoe over Edom; I will triumph over Philistia.
Psa 108:10 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
Psa 108:11 O God, have You not cast us off? And, O God, will You not go out with our armies?
Psa 108:12 Give us help from trouble; for vain is the deliverance of man.
Psa 108:13 Through God we shall do mighty things; for He shall trample our enemies.

Chapter 109

Psa 109:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, do not be silent;
Psa 109:2 for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; they spoke against me with a lying tongue.
Psa 109:3 And they surrounded me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
Psa 109:4 For my love they are my foes; but I am in prayer.
Psa 109:5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
Psa 109:6 Set a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand,
Psa 109:7 when he is judged, let him be condemned; and let his prayer become sin.
Psa 109:8 Let his days be few; let another take his office.
Psa 109:9 Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Psa 109:10 Let his sons always beg and be vagabonds, and seek food out of their ruins.
Psa 109:11 Let the money-lender lay a snare for all that is his; and let strangers take the fruit of his labor.
Psa 109:12 Let there be none to give mercy to him; nor any to favor his fatherless children.
Psa 109:13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Psa 109:14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered to Jehovah; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Psa 109:15 Let them be always before Jehovah, that He may cut off their memory from the earth,
Psa 109:16 because he did not remember to do mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and sought to kill the broken-hearted.
Psa 109:17 Yea, he loved cursing, so let it come to him; he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him.
Psa 109:18 As he clothed himself with cursing, as with his robe, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
Psa 109:19 Let it be to him as the robe which covers him, and for a girdle with which he is always clothed.
Psa 109:20 This is the reward of my foes from Jehovah, and of them who speak evil against my soul.
Psa 109:21 But You, Lord Jehovah, deal kindly with me for Your name’s sake; because Your mercy is good, deliver me.
Psa 109:22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
Psa 109:23 As a shadow when it is stretched out, I am gone; I am shaken off like the locust.
Psa 109:24 My knees stumble from fasting; and my flesh is losing its fatness.
Psa 109:25 And I became a shame to them; they looked on me; they shook their heads.
Psa 109:26 Help me, O Jehovah my God; save me according to Your mercy;
Psa 109:27 and they will know that this is Your hand; that You, Jehovah, have done it.
Psa 109:28 They will curse, but You will bless; they arise, and are ashamed; but let Your servant rejoice.
Psa 109:29 Let my foes be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own shame, as with a cloak.
Psa 109:30 I will greatly praise Jehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude.
Psa 109:31 For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.

Chapter 110

Psa 110:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool.
Psa 110:2 Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies.
Psa 110:3 Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in holy adornment from the womb of the morning: You have the dew of Your youth.
Psa 110:4 Jehovah has sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
Psa 110:5 The Lord at Your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath.
Psa 110:6 He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill them with dead bodies; He shall shatter heads over much of the earth.
Psa 110:7 He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore He shall lift up the head.

Chapter 111

Psa 111:1 Praise Jehovah! I will praise Jehovah with all my heart, in the council of the upright, and of the congregation.
Psa 111:2 The works of Jehovah are great, sought out by all those who have pleasure in them.
Psa 111:3 His work is honorable and glorious; and His righteousness is standing forever.
Psa 111:4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; Jehovah is gracious and full of pity.
Psa 111:5 He has given food to those who fear Him; He will always be mindful of His covenant.
Psa 111:6 He has shown His people the power of His works, to give to them the inheritance of the nations.
Psa 111:7 The works of His hands are truth and judgment; all His commands are true,
Psa 111:8 standing fast forever and ever; they are done in truth and uprightness.
Psa 111:9 He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.
Psa 111:10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all practicing them have good understanding; His praise stands forever.

Chapter 112

Psa 112:1 Praise Jehovah! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, who delights greatly in His Commandments.
Psa 112:2 His seed shall be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Psa 112:3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness stands forever.
Psa 112:4 To the upright there arises light in the darkness; he is gracious and full of pity and righteousness.
Psa 112:5 A good man shows favor, and lends; he will guide his business with fairness.
Psa 112:6 Surely he shall not be moved forever; the righteous shall be remembered forever.
Psa 112:7 He shall not be afraid of bad news; his heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah.
Psa 112:8 His heart is sure; he shall not be afraid though he sees his oppressors.
Psa 112:9 He has scattered abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.
Psa 112:10 The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Chapter 113

Psa 113:1 Praise Jehovah! Praise, O servants of Jehovah, praise the name of Jehovah.
Psa 113:2 Blessed is the name of Jehovah from this time forth and forevermore.
Psa 113:3 From the rising of the sun to its going down, Jehovah’s name is to be praised.
Psa 113:4 Jehovah is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens.
Psa 113:5 Who is like Jehovah our God, who dwells on high,
Psa 113:6 who humbles Himself to behold the things in the heavens and in the earth!
Psa 113:7 He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill,
Psa 113:8 in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.
Psa 113:9 He causes the barren to dwell in the house as a joyful mother of sons. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 114

Psa 114:1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
Psa 114:2 Judah was His sanctuary, and Israel was His kingdom.
Psa 114:3 The sea saw it and fled; Jordan was driven back.
Psa 114:4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
Psa 114:5 What ailed you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back,
Psa 114:6 O mountains that skipped like rams, O little hills like lambs?
Psa 114:7 Earth, tremble at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
Psa 114:8 who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Chapter 115

Psa 115:1 Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and for Your truth’s sake.
Psa 115:2 Why should the nations say, Where now is their God?
Psa 115:3 But our God is in Heaven; He has done whatever He has pleased.
Psa 115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Psa 115:5 They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;
Psa 115:6 they have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell;
Psa 115:7 they have hands, but they do not handle; they have feet, but they do not walk; they do not mutter through their throat.
Psa 115:8 The ones who make them are like them, and everyone who trusts in them.
Psa 115:9 O Israel, trust in Jehovah; He is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah; He is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:11 You who fear Jehovah, trust in Jehovah; He is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12 Jehovah has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
Psa 115:13 He will bless those who fear Jehovah, both small and great.
Psa 115:14 Jehovah shall add on to you, even on you and on your sons.
Psa 115:15 You are blessed of Jehovah who made the heavens and the earth.
Psa 115:16 The heavens, even the heavens, are Jehovah’s; but the earth He has given to the sons of men.
Psa 115:17 The dead do not praise Jehovah, nor do any who go down into silence.
Psa 115:18 But we will bless Jehovah from this time forth and forevermore. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 116

Psa 116:1 I love Jehovah because He hears my voice and my prayers.
Psa 116:2 Because He has bowed down His ear to me, therefore I will call on Him in my days.
Psa 116:3 The sorrows of death hemmed me in, and the pains of hell took hold on me; I found trouble and sorrow.
Psa 116:4 Then I called on the name of Jehovah; O Jehovah, I beseech You, deliver my soul.
Psa 116:5 Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
Psa 116:6 Jehovah keeps the simple; I was brought low, and He helped me.
Psa 116:7 Return to your rest, O my soul; for Jehovah has dealt bountifully with you.
Psa 116:8 For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
Psa 116:9 I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.
Psa 116:10 I believed, therefore I have spoken; I was greatly afflicted;
Psa 116:11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
Psa 116:12 What shall I give to Jehovah for all His benefits toward me?
Psa 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of Jehovah.
Psa 116:14 I will pay my vows to Jehovah now in the presence of all His people.
Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of His saints.
Psa 116:16 O Jehovah, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, and the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds.
Psa 116:17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of Jehovah.
Psa 116:18 I will pay my vows to Jehovah now in the presence of all His people,
Psa 116:19 in the courts of Jehovah’s house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 117

Psa 117:1 O praise Jehovah, all nations; praise Him, all peoples.
Psa 117:2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us; and the truth of Jehovah endures forever. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 118

Psa 118:1 O give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; because His mercy endures forever.
Psa 118:2 Let Israel now say that His mercy endures forever.
Psa 118:3 Let the house of Aaron now say that His mercy endures forever.
Psa 118:4 Let those who fear Jehovah now say that His mercy endures forever.
Psa 118:5 I called on Jehovah in distress; Jehovah answered me, and set me in a large place.
Psa 118:6 Jehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do to me?
Psa 118:7 Jehovah is for me among those who help me; and I will see my desire on those who hate me.
Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in Jehovah than to trust in man.
Psa 118:9 It is better to trust in Jehovah than to trust in princes.
Psa 118:10 All the nations surround me, but in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them.
Psa 118:11 They surround me; yea, they surround me, but in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them.
Psa 118:12 They surround me like bees; they are put out like the fire of thorns; for in the name of Jehovah I will cut them off.
Psa 118:13 You have thrust hard at me so that I might fall; but Jehovah helped me.
Psa 118:14 Jehovah is my strength and song, and He is my salvation.
Psa 118:15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of Jehovah does mighty things.
Psa 118:16 The right hand of Jehovah is lifted up; the right hand of Jehovah does mighty things.
Psa 118:17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of Jehovah.
Psa 118:18 Jehovah has sorely chastened me; but He has not given me over to death.
Psa 118:19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go into them, and I will praise Jehovah.
Psa 118:20 This is the gate of Jehovah into which the righteous shall enter.
Psa 118:21 I will praise You; for You have heard me, and are my salvation.
Psa 118:22 The Stone which the builders refused has become the Head of the corner.
Psa 118:23 This is from Jehovah; it is marvelous in our eyes.
Psa 118:24 This is the day which Jehovah has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psa 118:25 Save now, I beseech You, O Jehovah; O Jehovah, I beseech You, cause us to prosper now.
Psa 118:26 Blessed is He coming in the name of Jehovah; we have blessed You out of the house of Jehovah.
Psa 118:27 God is Jehovah, who gives light to us. Tie the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
Psa 118:28 You are my God, and I will exalt You; You are my God, I will praise You.
Psa 118:29 Oh give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

Chapter 119

Psa 119:1 ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Law of Jehovah.
Psa 119:2 Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with all the heart.
Psa 119:3 They also do no iniquity; they walk in His ways.
Psa 119:4 You have commanded us to keep Your Commandments carefully.
Psa 119:5 O that my ways were fixed to keep Your Precepts!
Psa 119:6 Then I shall not be ashamed, when I have respect to all Your Commandments.
Psa 119:7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart when I have learned Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:8 I will keep Your Precepts; do not forsake me completely.
Psa 119:9 BETH: With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word.
Psa 119:10 With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your Commandments.
Psa 119:11 I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
Psa 119:12 Blessed are You, O Jehovah; teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:13 With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.
Psa 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.
Psa 119:15 I will think on Your Commandments and have respect to Your ways.
Psa 119:16 I will delight myself in Your Precepts; I will not forget Your Word.
Psa 119:17 GIMEL: Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your Word.
Psa 119:18 Open my eyes, so that I may behold wonderful things out of Your Law.
Psa 119:19 I am a stranger in the earth; do not hide Your Commandments from me.
Psa 119:20 My soul breaks for the longing that it has to Your judgments at all times.
Psa 119:21 You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who go astray from Your Commandments.
Psa 119:22 Remove cursing and scorn from me; for I have kept Your testimonies.
Psa 119:23 Princes also sat and spoke against me; but Your servant thought on Your Precepts.
Psa 119:24 Your testimonies also are my delight and my advisers.
Psa 119:25 DALETH: My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to Your Word.
Psa 119:26 I have declared my ways, and You hear me; teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Psa 119:28 My soul weeps for grief; strengthen me according to Your Word.
Psa 119:29 Remove from me the way of lying; and grant me Your Law graciously.
Psa 119:30 I have chosen the way of truth; I have laid Your judgments before me.
Psa 119:31 I have stuck to Your testimonies; O Jehovah, do not put me to shame.
Psa 119:32 I will run the way of Your Commandments, when You shall enlarge my heart.
Psa 119:33 HE: O Jehovah, teach me the way of Your Precepts, and I shall keep it to the end.
Psa 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your Law; yea, I shall observe it with all my heart.
Psa 119:35 Cause me to walk in the path of Your Commandments; for I delight in them.
Psa 119:36 Bow my heart to Your testimonies, and not to unjust gain.
Psa 119:37 Turn away my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.
Psa 119:38 Make Your Word sure to Your servant, who is devoted to Your fear.
Psa 119:39 Turn away my shame which I fear; for Your judgments are good.
Psa 119:40 Behold, I have longed after Your Commandments; in Your righteousness give me life.
Psa 119:41 VAU: Let Your mercies come to me, O Jehovah, even according to Your salvation, according to Your Word.
Psa 119:42 And I shall have something to answer him who mocks me; for I trust in Your Word.
Psa 119:43 And take not the Word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Your judgments.
Psa 119:44 And I shall keep Your Law continually forever and ever.
Psa 119:45 And I will always walk in a broad place; for I seek Your Commandments.
Psa 119:46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
Psa 119:47 And I will delight myself in Your Commandments, which I have loved.
Psa 119:48 And I will lift up my hands to Your Commandments which I have loved; and I will think on Your Precepts.
Psa 119:49 ZAYIN: Remember the Word to Your servant, on which You have caused me to hope.
Psa 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction; for Your Word has given me life.
Psa 119:51 The proud have utterly scorned me; yet I have not turned aside from Your Law.
Psa 119:52 I remembered Your judgments of old, O Jehovah, and have comforted myself.
Psa 119:53 Horror has taken hold on me because of the wicked who forsake Your Law.
Psa 119:54 Your Precepts have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
Psa 119:55 I have remembered Your name, O Jehovah, in the night, and have kept Your Law.
Psa 119:56 This was done to me, because I kept Your Commandments.
Psa 119:57 CHETH: You are my portion, O Jehovah; I have said that I would keep Your Words.
Psa 119:58 I looked for Your favor with all my heart; be merciful to me according to Your Word.
Psa 119:59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies.
Psa 119:60 I made haste and did not delay to keep Your Commandments.
Psa 119:61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me; but I have not forgotten Your Law.
Psa 119:62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:63 I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your Commandments.
Psa 119:64 O Jehovah, the earth is full of Your mercy; teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:65 TETH: You have dealt well with Your servant, O Jehovah, according to Your Word.
Psa 119:66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge; for I have believed Your Commandments.
Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I have kept Your Word.
Psa 119:68 You are good, and do good; teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:69 The proud have forged a lie against me; I will keep Your Commandments with all my heart.
Psa 119:70 Their heart is without feeling, like fat; but I delight in Your Law.
Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted, so that I might learn Your Precepts.
Psa 119:72 The Law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
Psa 119:73 JOD: Your hands have made me and formed me; give me understanding so that I may learn Your Commandments.
Psa 119:74 They who fear You will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in Your Word.
Psa 119:75 I know, O Jehovah, that Your judgments are right, and that You have afflicted me in faithfulness.
Psa 119:76 I beseech You, let Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your Word to Your servant.
Psa 119:77 Let Your tender mercies come to me so that I may live; for Your Law is my delight.
Psa 119:78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they perverted my cause with lying; I will think on Your Commandments.
Psa 119:79 Let those who fear You turn to me, and those who have known Your testimonies.
Psa 119:80 Let my heart be sound in Your Precepts, so that I may not be ashamed.
Psa 119:81 KAPH: My soul faints for Your salvation; I hope in Your Word.
Psa 119:82 My eyes fail for Your Word, saying, When will You comfort me?
Psa 119:83 For I am like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget Your Precepts.
Psa 119:84 How many are the days of Your servant? When will You carry out judgment on my persecutors?
Psa 119:85 The proud have dug pits for me, which are not according to Your Law.
Psa 119:86 All Your Commandments are faithful; they persecute me with lying; help me.
Psa 119:87 They had almost finished me on earth; but I did not forsake Your Commandments.
Psa 119:88 According to Your loving-kindness give me life; so shall I keep the testimony of Your mouth.
Psa 119:89 LAMED: Forever, O Jehovah, Your Word is settled in the heavens.
Psa 119:90 Your faithfulness is to all generations; You have founded the earth, and it remains.
Psa 119:91 They stand to this day according to Your ordinances; for all are Your servants.
Psa 119:92 Unless Your Law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction.
Psa 119:93 I will never forget Your Commandments; for with them You have given me life.
Psa 119:94 I am Yours, save me; for I have sought Your Commandments.
Psa 119:95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; but I will think on Your testimonies.
Psa 119:96 I have seen an end to all perfection; Your Commandment is exceedingly broad.
Psa 119:97 MEM: Oh how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day.
Psa 119:98 Through Your Commandments You make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me.
Psa 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my prayer.
Psa 119:100 I understand more than the old men, because I keep Your Commandments.
Psa 119:101 I have kept my feet from every evil way, so that I might keep Your Word.
Psa 119:102 I have not departed from Your judgments; for You have taught me.
Psa 119:103 How sweet are Your Words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!
Psa 119:104 Through Your Commandments I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
Psa 119:105 NUN: Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
Psa 119:106 I have sworn, and I raised it, that I will keep Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:107 I am afflicted very much; O Jehovah, give me life according to Your Word.
Psa 119:108 I pray You, take the free-will offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, and teach me Your judgments.
Psa 119:109 My life is in my hand daily; yet I do not forget Your Law.
Psa 119:110 The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet I do not go astray from Your Commandments.
Psa 119:111 I have taken Your testimonies as an inheritance forever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Psa 119:112 I have bowed down my heart to do Your Precepts always to the end.
Psa 119:113 SAMECH: I hate half-hearted thoughts; but Your Law do I love.
Psa 119:114 You are my hiding-place and my shield; I hope in Your Word.
Psa 119:115 Depart from me, you evil-doers, for I will keep the Commandments of my God.
Psa 119:116 Uphold me according to Your Word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Psa 119:117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe; and I will always have respect to Your Precepts.
Psa 119:118 You have trampled all those who go astray from Your Precepts; for their deceit is falsehood.
Psa 119:119 You put away all the wicked of the earth like waste; therefore I love Your testimonies.
Psa 119:120 My flesh trembles in fear of You; and I am afraid of Your judgments.
Psa 119:121 AYIN: I have done the just and right thing; leave me not to those who crush me.
Psa 119:122 Be surety for Your servant for good; let not the proud press me down.
Psa 119:123 My eyes fail for Your salvation, and for the Word of Your righteousness.
Psa 119:124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy, and teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:125 I am Your servant; give me understanding, that I may know Your testimonies.
Psa 119:126 It is time for Jehovah to work; for they have broken Your Law.
Psa 119:127 Therefore I love Your Commandments above gold; yea, even fine gold.
Psa 119:128 Therefore I count all Your Commandments concerning all things to be right; I hate every false way.
Psa 119:129 PE: Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them.
Psa 119:130 The entrance of Your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
Psa 119:131 I opened my mouth and panted; for I longed for Your Commandments.
Psa 119:132 Look on me, and be merciful to me, as You usually do to those who love Your name.
Psa 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Psa 119:134 Deliver me from the oppression of man; and I will keep Your Commandments.
Psa 119:135 Make Your face shine on Your servant; and teach me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:136 Rivers of water run down my eyes, because they do not keep Your Law.
Psa 119:137 TZADDI: You are righteous, O Jehovah, and Your judgments are right.
Psa 119:138 In Your testimonies You have commanded righteousness and faithfulness exceedingly.
Psa 119:139 My zeal has eaten me up, because my enemies have forgotten Your Words.
Psa 119:140 Your Word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.
Psa 119:141 I am small and despised; yet I do not forget Your Commandments.
Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Law is the truth.
Psa 119:143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; yet Your Commandments are my delight.
Psa 119:144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live.
Psa 119:145 QOPH: I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Jehovah; I will keep Your Precepts.
Psa 119:146 I cried to You; save me, and I shall keep Your testimonies.
Psa 119:147 I went before the dawning of the morning and cried; I hoped in Your Word.
Psa 119:148 My eyes go before the night watches, so that I might think on Your Word.
Psa 119:149 Hear my voice according to Your loving-kindness; O Jehovah, according to Your judgment give me life.
Psa 119:150 They draw near, those who follow after wickedness; they are far from Your Law.
Psa 119:151 You are near, O Jehovah, and all Your Commandments are truth.
Psa 119:152 Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
Psa 119:153 RESH: Look on my affliction, and deliver me; for I do not forget Your Law.
Psa 119:154 Plead my cause, and deliver me; according to Your Word give me life.
Psa 119:155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your Precepts.
Psa 119:156 Great are Your tender mercies, O Jehovah; according to Your judgments give me life.
Psa 119:157 Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn aside from Your testimonies.
Psa 119:158 I saw the traitors, and was grieved because they did not keep Your Word.
Psa 119:159 See how I love Your Commandments; O Jehovah, according to Your loving-kindness give me life.
Psa 119:160 Your Word is true from the beginning; and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
Psa 119:161 SHIN: Princes have persecuted me without a cause, but my heart stands in fear of Your Word.
Psa 119:162 I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.
Psa 119:163 I hate and despise lying; but I love Your Law.
Psa 119:164 I praise You seven times a day because of Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:165 Great peace is to those who love Your Law, and there is no stumbling block for them.
Psa 119:166 Jehovah, I have hoped for Your salvation, and have done Your Commandments.
Psa 119:167 My soul has kept Your testimonies; and I love them very much.
Psa 119:168 I have kept Your Commandments and Your testimonies; for all my ways are before You.
Psa 119:169 TAU: Let my cry come near to You, O Jehovah; give me wisdom according to Your Word.
Psa 119:170 Let my prayer come before You; deliver me according to Your Word.
Psa 119:171 My lips shall utter praise, when You have taught me Your Precepts.
Psa 119:172 My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.
Psa 119:173 Let Your hand help me; for I have chosen Your Precepts.
Psa 119:174 I have longed for Your salvation, O Jehovah; and Your Law is my delight.
Psa 119:175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; and let Your judgments help me.
Psa 119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your Commandments.

Chapter 120

Psa 120:1 A Song of degrees. In my trouble I cried to Jehovah, and He heard me.
Psa 120:2 Deliver my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
Psa 120:3 What shall be given to you? Or what shall be done to you, O false tongue?
Psa 120:4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of broom.
Psa 120:5 Woe is me, that I live in Mesech; I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
Psa 120:6 My soul has long dwelt with a hater of peace.
Psa 120:7 I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

Chapter 121

Psa 121:1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where shall my help come from?
Psa 121:2 My help comes from Jehovah, who made Heaven and earth.
Psa 121:3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Psa 121:4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psa 121:5 Jehovah is your keeper; Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.
Psa 121:6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
Psa 121:7 Jehovah shall keep you from all evil; He shall keep your soul.
Psa 121:8 Jehovah shall keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Chapter 122

Psa 122:1 A Song of degrees; of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.
Psa 122:2 Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.
Psa 122:3 Jerusalem is built like a city that is all joined together as one;
Psa 122:4 where the tribes go up, the tribes of Jehovah, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of Jehovah.
Psa 122:5 For there were set the thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Psa 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those who love you shall be blessed.
Psa 122:7 Peace be within your walls, blessings within your palaces.
Psa 122:8 For my brothers and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.
Psa 122:9 Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek your good.

Chapter 123

Psa 123:1 A Song of degrees. To You I lift up my eyes, O Dweller in Heaven.
Psa 123:2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters; as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait on Jehovah our God, until He shall have mercy on us.
Psa 123:3 Have mercy on us, O Jehovah, have mercy on us; for we are exceedingly filled with scorn.
Psa 123:4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the contempt of those who are at ease, with the scorn of the proud.

Chapter 124

Psa 124:1 A Song of degrees; of David. Except that it was Jehovah who was for us, O may Israel say;
Psa 124:2 Except that it was Jehovah who was for us when men rose up against us,
Psa 124:3 then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;
Psa 124:4 then the waters would have flowed over us, the stream would have gone over our soul;
Psa 124:5 then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
Psa 124:6 Blessed is Jehovah, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Psa 124:7 Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Psa 124:8 Our help is in the name of Jehovah, who made the heavens and earth.

Chapter 125

Psa 125:1 A Song of degrees. They who trust in Jehovah shall be like Mount Zion; it is not shaken, but remains forever.
Psa 125:2 As the mountains are all around Jerusalem, so Jehovah is all around His people from this time and forever.
Psa 125:3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.
Psa 125:4 Do good, O Jehovah, to the good, and to the upright in their hearts.
Psa 125:5 And those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity; peace shall be on Israel.

Chapter 126

Psa 126:1 A Song of degrees. When Jehovah turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.
Psa 126:2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then they said among the nations, Jehovah has done great things with them.
Psa 126:3 Great things did Jehovah to work with us and we are glad.
Psa 126:4 Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, as the streams in the south.
Psa 126:5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Psa 126:6 He who goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Chapter 127

Psa 127:1 A Song of degrees for Solomon. Unless Jehovah builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless Jehovah keeps the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psa 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep.
Psa 127:3 Lo, children are the inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is a reward.
Psa 127:4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of the young.
Psa 127:5 Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Chapter 128

Psa 128:1 A Song of degrees. Blessed is everyone who fears Jehovah, who walks in His ways.
Psa 128:2 For you shall surely eat the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and all is well with you.
Psa 128:3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine by the sides of your house; your sons shall be like olive plants around your table.
Psa 128:4 Behold! So shall the man be blessed who fears Jehovah.
Psa 128:5 Jehovah shall bless you out of Zion; and you shall see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
Psa 128:6 Yea, you shall see the sons of your sons. Peace be on Israel.

Chapter 129

Psa 129:1 A Song of degrees. Many times they have afflicted me from my youth, Israel may now say;
Psa 129:2 many times they have afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed over me.
Psa 129:3 The plowers plowed on my back; they made their furrows long.
Psa 129:4 Jehovah is righteous; He cuts off the cords of the wicked.
Psa 129:5 Let them all be ashamed and turned back, those who hate Zion.
Psa 129:6 Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which dries up before it grows up,
Psa 129:7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor the binder of sheaves his bosom.
Psa 129:8 And those who pass by have never said, The blessing of Jehovah be on you; we bless you in the name of Jehovah.

Chapter 130

Psa 130:1 A Song of degrees. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Jehovah.
Psa 130:2 Lord, hear my voice, and let Your ears listen to the voice of My prayers.
Psa 130:3 If You will keep in mind iniquities, O Jehovah, who shall stand, O Lord?
Psa 130:4 But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.
Psa 130:5 I wait for Jehovah, my soul waits, and in His Word I hope.
Psa 130:6 My soul waits for Jehovah more than morning-watchers who are watching for the morning.
Psa 130:7 Let Israel hope in Jehovah; for with Jehovah there is mercy, and with Him is plentiful redemption.
Psa 130:8 And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Chapter 131

Psa 131:1 A Song of degrees; of David. O Jehovah, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes lofty; nor have I walked in great things, nor in things too wondrous for me.
Psa 131:2 Surely I have behaved and have quieted my soul, as one weaned by its mother; my soul on me is like one weaned.
Psa 131:3 Let Israel hope in Jehovah from this moment and forever.

Chapter 132

Psa 132:1 A Song of degrees. O Jehovah, remember David and all his afflictions,
Psa 132:2 how he swore to Jehovah; he vowed to the mighty One of Jacob.
Psa 132:3 Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into my bed;
Psa 132:4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids,
Psa 132:5 until I find out a place for Jehovah, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.
Psa 132:6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the wood.
Psa 132:7 We will go into His dwellings; we will worship at His footstool.
Psa 132:8 Arise, O Jehovah, into Your rest; You, and the ark of Your strength.
Psa 132:9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your saints shout for joy.
Psa 132:10 For Your servant David’s sake, turn not away the face of Your anointed.
Psa 132:11 Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; Of the fruit of your body I will set on the throne for you.
Psa 132:12 If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I shall teach them, their sons shall also sit on your throne forever.
Psa 132:13 Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place.
Psa 132:14 This is My rest forever; here I will dwell; for I have desired it.
Psa 132:15 I will greatly bless her food; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
Psa 132:16 I also will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
Psa 132:17 There I will make the horn of David to bud; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed.
Psa 132:18 I will clothe his enemies with shame; but his crown shall shine on him.

Chapter 133

Psa 133:1 A Song of degrees; of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, that went down to the mouth of his garments;
Psa 133:3 like the dew of Hermon that came down on the mountains of Zion; for there Jehovah commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

Chapter 134

Psa 134:1 A Song of degrees. Behold, bless Jehovah, all servants of Jehovah, who stand by night in the house of Jehovah.
Psa 134:2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless Jehovah.
Psa 134:3 May Jehovah, who made the heavens and earth, bless you out of Zion.

Chapter 135

Psa 135:1 Praise Jehovah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise Him, servants of Jehovah.
Psa 135:2 Those who stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our God,
Psa 135:3 praise Jehovah; for Jehovah is good; sing praises to His name, for it is full of delight.
Psa 135:4 For Jehovah has chosen Jacob to Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure.
Psa 135:5 For I know that Jehovah is great, and our LORD is above all gods.
Psa 135:6 Every thing Jehovah pleased, He did in the heavens and in earth, and in the seas and all deep places.
Psa 135:7 He causes the vapors to rise from the end of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings wind out of His storehouses.
Psa 135:8 He who struck the first-born of Egypt, both of man and animal;
Psa 135:9 who sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, on Pharaoh and on all his servants;
Psa 135:10 who struck great nations and killed mighty kings,
Psa 135:11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,
Psa 135:12 and gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel His people.
Psa 135:13 Your name, O Jehovah, endures forever, and Your memorial, O Jehovah, throughout all generations.
Psa 135:14 For Jehovah will judge His people, and He will have pity on His servants.
Psa 135:15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Psa 135:16 They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;
Psa 135:17 they have ears, but they do not hear, nor is there breath in their mouths.
Psa 135:18 Those who make them are like them, everyone who trusts in them.
Psa 135:19 Bless Jehovah, O house of Israel; bless Jehovah, O house of Aaron;
Psa 135:20 bless Jehovah, O house of Levi; you who fear Jehovah, bless Jehovah.
Psa 135:21 Blessed is Jehovah out of Zion, who dwells at Jerusalem. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 136

Psa 136:1 Oh give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:2 Oh give thanks to the God of gods; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:3 Oh give thanks to the Lord of lords; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:4 To Him who alone does great wonders; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:6 To Him who stretched out the earth above the waters; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:7 To Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:8 The sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:9 the moon and stars to rule by night; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:10 To Him who struck Egypt in their first-born; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:11 and brought Israel out from among them, for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:12 with a strong hand, and a stretched out arm; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:13 to Him who divided the Red Sea into parts; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:14 and made Israel to pass through the middle of it; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:15 but threw Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:17 To Him who struck great kings; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:18 and killed famous kings; for His mercy endures forever:
Psa 136:19 Sihon king of the Amorites; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:20 and Og the king of Bashan; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:21 and gave their land for an inheritance; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:22 an inheritance to Israel His servant; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:23 Who remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever;
Psa 136:24 and has redeemed us from our enemies; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:25 Who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy endures forever.
Psa 136:26 Oh give thanks to the God of Heaven; for His mercy endures forever.

Chapter 137

Psa 137:1 There we sat down by the rivers of Babylon; also, we wept when we remembered Zion.
Psa 137:2 We hung our lyres on the willows in its midst.
Psa 137:3 For there our captors demanded a song from us; and our plunderers demanded gladness, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
Psa 137:4 How shall we sing Jehovah’s song in a foreign land?
Psa 137:5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget.
Psa 137:6 If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth; if I do not prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Psa 137:7 Remember, O Jehovah, the sons of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Make it bare! Make it bare, even to the foundation of it!
Psa 137:8 O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one! Blessed is he who will repay to you your reward which you rewarded to us.
Psa 137:9 Blessed is he who seizes and dashes your little ones against the stones.

Chapter 138

Psa 138:1 A Psalm of David. I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praise to You.
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth’s sake; for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name.
Psa 138:3 In the day when I cried You answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul.
Psa 138:4 All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Jehovah, when they hear the Words of Your mouth.
Psa 138:5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah; for great is the glory of Jehovah.
Psa 138:6 Though Jehovah is high, yet He has respect to the lowly; but the proud He knows afar off.
Psa 138:7 If I walk in the midst of trouble, You will give me life; You shall stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand shall save me.
Psa 138:8 Jehovah will perfect His work in me; Your mercy, O Jehovah, endures forever; do not forsake the work of Your own hands.

Chapter 139

Psa 139:1 To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, You have searched me and have known me.
Psa 139:2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
Psa 139:3 You search my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Psa 139:4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, You know it altogether.
Psa 139:5 You have closed me in behind and in front, and laid Your hand on me.
Psa 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot go up to it.
Psa 139:7 Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence?
Psa 139:8 If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
Psa 139:9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea;
Psa 139:10 even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
Psa 139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me.
Psa 139:12 Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You.
Psa 139:13 For You have possessed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother’s womb.
Psa 139:14 I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are marvelous and my soul knows it very well.
Psa 139:15 My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret and skillfully formed in the lowest parts of the earth.
Psa 139:16 Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your book all my members were written, the days they were formed, and not one was among them.
Psa 139:17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
Psa 139:18 If I should count them, they are more than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.
Psa 139:19 Surely You will slay the wicked, O God; and bloody men, depart from me.
Psa 139:20 Who will speak against You maliciously? Your enemies are lifted up with vanity.
Psa 139:21 O Jehovah, do I not hate those who hate You? And am I not grieved with those who rise up against You?
Psa 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.
Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts,
Psa 139:24 and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.

Chapter 140

Psa 140:1 To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; keep me from the violent man,
Psa 140:2 who devised evil things in the heart; they are always gathered for war.
Psa 140:3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.
Psa 140:4 O Jehovah, keep me from the hands of the wicked; keep me from the violent man who purposed to trip up my steps.
Psa 140:5 The proud have hidden cords and a trap for me; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set snares for me. Selah.
Psa 140:6 I said to Jehovah, You are my God; O Jehovah, hear the voice of my prayers.
Psa 140:7 O Lord Jehovah, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.
Psa 140:8 O Jehovah, do not grant the desires of the wicked; do not help his wicked plans, lest they praise themselves. Selah.
Psa 140:9 As for the head of those around me, let the evil of their own lips cover them.
Psa 140:10 Let burning coals fall on them; let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, so that they do not rise up again.
Psa 140:11 Do not let an evil speaker be established in the earth; evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
Psa 140:12 I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor.
Psa 140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence.

Chapter 141

Psa 141:1 A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, I cry to You; make haste to me, give ear to my voice when I cry to You.
Psa 141:2 Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Psa 141:3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Psa 141:4 Let not my heart turn aside to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their delicacies.
Psa 141:5 Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness; and let him correct me, it is oil on my head, let not my head refuse it; for still my prayer also shall be against their wickedness.
Psa 141:6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
Psa 141:7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cuts and splits wood on the earth.
Psa 141:8 But my eyes are on You, O Lord Jehovah; in You I take refuge, do not leave my soul naked.
Psa 141:9 Keep me from the traps which they have laid for me, and the snares of the workers of evil.
Psa 141:10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets together, while I escape.

Chapter 142

Psa 142:1 An Instruction of David; A Prayer when he was in the cave. I cried to Jehovah with my voice; with my voice I prayed to Jehovah.
Psa 142:2 I poured out my prayer before Him; I declared my trouble before Him.
Psa 142:3 When my spirit fainted within me, then You knew my path. In the way in which I walked they have secretly laid a snare for me.
Psa 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and I watched, but no one recognized me; escape was lost to me; no man cared for my soul.
Psa 142:5 I cried to You, O Jehovah; I said, You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
Psa 142:6 Hear my cry; for I am brought very low; deliver me from my pursuers; for they are stronger than I.
Psa 142:7 Bring my soul out of prison that I may praise Your name; the righteous shall gather around me; for You shall reward me.

Chapter 143

Psa 143:1 A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer O Jehovah; give ear to my supplications; in Your faithfulness and in Your righteousness answer me.
Psa 143:2 And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no one living is just.
Psa 143:3 For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has beaten my life down to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, as those long dead.
Psa 143:4 And my spirit has fainted within me; my heart has become weary within me.
Psa 143:5 I remember the days of old; I think on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands.
Psa 143:6 I stretch forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts after You like a thirsty land. Selah.
Psa 143:7 Hear me quickly, O Jehovah; my spirit fails; do not hide Your face from me, lest I be like those who go down into the Pit.
Psa 143:8 Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.
Psa 143:9 Deliver me, O Jehovah, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me. Psa 143:10 Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psa 143:11 O Jehovah, for Your name’s sake enliven me; for Your righteousness’ sake, bring my soul out of trouble.
Psa 143:12 And out of Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant.

Chapter 144

Psa 144:1 A Psalm of David. Blessed is Jehovah my Rock, who teaches My hands for war, my fingers for battle.
Psa 144:2 He is my goodness and my fortress; my high tower and my deliverer; my shield and He in whom I trust; who humbles my people under me.
Psa 144:3 O Jehovah, what is man that You take knowledge of him! Or the son of man, that You esteem him?
Psa 144:4 Man is like vanity; his days are like a shadow that passes away.
Psa 144:5 Bow down Your heavens, O Jehovah, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Psa 144:6 Cast forth lightning and scatter them; shoot out Your arrows and destroy them.
Psa 144:7 Send Your hand from above; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of a foreigner’s sons;
Psa 144:8 because their mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of lies.
Psa 144:9 I will sing a new song to You, O God; on a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You.
Psa 144:10 It is You who gives salvation to kings; who delivers David His servant from the hurtful sword.
Psa 144:11 Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of foreigners’ sons, because their mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood;
Psa 144:12 so that our sons may be like plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters may be like corner-stones, polished like a palace building;
Psa 144:13 and our storehouses may be full, furnishing kind to kind; and our flocks may breed thousands and ten thousands outside;
Psa 144:14 and our oxen may be loaded; there is no breaking in nor going out and no crying in our streets.
Psa 144:15 Blessed are the peoples who are so; blessed are the peoples to whom Jehovah is their God.

Chapter 145

Psa 145:1 Praise, of David. I will lift You up, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Psa 145:2 Every day I will bless You; and I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Psa 145:3 Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised; and there is no searching out His greatness.
Psa 145:4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.
Psa 145:5 I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wonderful works.
Psa 145:6 And men shall speak of the might of Your awesome works; and I will declare Your greatness.
Psa 145:7 They shall pour forth the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.
Psa 145:8 Jehovah is gracious and full of pity; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Psa 145:9 Jehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.
Psa 145:10 All Your works shall praise You, O Jehovah; and Your saints shall bless You.
Psa 145:11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power,
Psa 145:12 to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
Psa 145:13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your rule endures throughout all generations.
Psa 145:14 Jehovah upholds all who fall, and raises up all those bowed down.
Psa 145:15 The eyes of all wait on You; and You give them their food in due season.
Psa 145:16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Psa 145:17 Jehovah is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works.
Psa 145:18 Jehovah is near all those who call on Him, all those who call on Him in truth.
Psa 145:19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Psa 145:20 Jehovah watches over all those who love Him; but all the wicked He will destroy.
Psa 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.

Chapter 146

Psa 146:1 Praise Jehovah. Praise Jehovah, O my soul.
Psa 146:2 While I live I will praise Jehovah; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.
Psa 146:3 Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no salvation.
Psa 146:4 His breath goes forth; he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Psa 146:5 Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose help is in Jehovah his God,
Psa 146:6 who made the heavens and earth, the sea and all that is in it; who keeps truth forever;
Psa 146:7 who carries out judgment for the mistreated; who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah lets the prisoners loose;
Psa 146:8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raises those who are bowed down; Jehovah loves the righteous;
Psa 146:9 Jehovah preserves the strangers; He relieves the orphan and widow, but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
Psa 146:10 Jehovah shall reign forever, even your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 147

Psa 147:1 Praise Jehovah; for it is good to sing praises to our God; for praise is delightful and becoming.
Psa 147:2 Jehovah builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
Psa 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds.
Psa 147:4 He appoints the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names.
Psa 147:5 Great is our LORD, and of great power; There is no limit to His understanding.
Psa 147:6 Jehovah lifts up the meek; He throws the wicked down to the ground.
Psa 147:7 Sing to Jehovah with thanksgiving; sing praise on the harp to our God,
Psa 147:8 who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
Psa 147:9 He gives the beasts their food, and to the young ravens which cry.
Psa 147:10 He delights not in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
Psa 147:11 Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear Him, who hope in His mercy.
Psa 147:12 Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
Psa 147:13 For He has made the bars of your gates strong; He has blessed your sons within you.
Psa 147:14 He makes peace in your borders and fills you with the finest of the wheat.
Psa 147:15 He sends forth His Commandment on earth; His Word runs very swiftly.
Psa 147:16 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.
Psa 147:17 He casts forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?
Psa 147:18 He sends out His Word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Psa 147:19 He shows His Word to Jacob, His Precepts and His judgments to Israel.
Psa 147:20 He has not done so with any nation; and they have not known His judgments. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 148

Psa 148:1 Praise Jehovah! Praise Jehovah from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
Psa 148:2 Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts.
Psa 148:3 Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all stars of light.
Psa 148:4 Praise Him, heavens of heavens, and waters that are above the heavens.
Psa 148:5 Let them praise the name of Jehovah; for He commanded, and they were created.
Psa 148:6 He has also settled them forever and ever; He has made a decree which shall not pass away.
Psa 148:7 Let praise be to Jehovah from the earth, the sea-monsters, and all deeps;
Psa 148:8 fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind fulfilling His Word,
Psa 148:9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,
Psa 148:10 beasts and all cattle, creeping things and birds of the wing,
Psa 148:11 kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth,
Psa 148:12 both young men and maidens, old men and children;
Psa 148:13 let them praise the name of Jehovah; for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heavens.
Psa 148:14 He also lifts up the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints, even of the sons of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 149

Psa 149:1 Praise Jehovah! Sing to Jehovah a new song, His praise in the congregation of saints.
Psa 149:2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.
Psa 149:3 Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
Psa 149:4 For Jehovah takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek with salvation.
Psa 149:5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
Psa 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
Psa 149:7 to carry out vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples,
Psa 149:8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron-bands,
Psa 149:9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise Jehovah!

Chapter 150

Psa 150:1 Praise Jehovah. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the expanse of His power.
Psa 150:2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Psa 150:3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and lyre.
Psa 150:4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and pipes.
Psa 150:5 Praise Him on the sounding cymbals; praise Him with the resounding cymbals.
Psa 150:6 Let everything that breathes praise Jehovah. Praise Jehovah!
